Alright, it's that time again. This time we get started at the very beginning. Last year we logged over 12,000 picks... had some very good cappers that put up some big numbers with a lot of picks. Long season ahead. Couple things to note to begin the season...
Site: www.akptracker.com
#1) This is a very laid back system. As long as you get your picks in before the game whether it's logged on the site or submitted on the daily threads it will count. You can go in to the site later or I can go in and add the picks. So if you are in a rush and out and want to get some picks in just post them in the daily thread then update the site later.
#2) The site is 100% free, no advertisements, no popups, it's honestly just part of the evolution of what we were doing last year that started off in excel. It became a little too much to handle day in day out so the site is meant to be self sustaining. So even if I'm out for the weekend or can't update picks, the site has all the games loaded and you can get your bets logged without me having to do anything.
#3) If you want an account just make a post in the daily thread with your picks or simply just ask. There is an FAQ on the site that will help you out with getting started.
#4) Only ATS, O/U, and Team Totals will be added to the daily scoreboard. You can still make money line bets and they will be recorded and viewable for everyone to see.
#5) It's very time consuming over the season to update peoples picks every single day. I simply can't do that this season. The first week or so it will be very loose and I can definitely help out and get people situated. But come midseason everyone should be able to use the site to make their picks. It's very easy to use. If there is something that you would like changed to make it easier just let me know.
#6) If you want to keep track of your dollar amounts, those will be private and only you can see them when you log in. So you don't have to worry about the public seeing what you are betting. They can however see your unit amounts.
#7) I haven't touched the site for the NBA since the end of last season until today, so bare with me getting things cleaned up. Don't be afraid of bringing up issues or requests. I have complete control of the code and we can pretty much do anything you want.
#8) If you want email notifications setup for your favorite cappers just go to the FAQ section and it should show you how. It's pretty easy to do.
Alright, let's have some fun boys! Good luck to all!!
