Often the longer-priced part of a 'split' entry wins. This gelding is in excellent form right now. Finished third in the last race and comes back rapidly.

BETTER TERMS - When Peltroche and Close join forces on horses the ROI has been fantastic at +362. Rounding his way back into form. Each of his finish positions is getting better in his recent starts. This animal has increased his Equibase speed figs in each of the last 2 races. That kind of progress is worth taking a look at.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 HOBOKEN JOE (ML=2/1), #4 OWEN RICO (ML=5/2), #6 SIR MARION LEWIS (ML=5/1),

HOBOKEN JOE - This steed just hasn't been winning as the public's choice. Don't believe this less than sharp equine will make a winning move in today's race. That last speed figure was pedestrian when compared with today's class rating. OWEN RICO - This mount ran a disappointing speed figure last out. He shouldn't run much better and will likely lose in today's event running that fig. Have to be concerned about the recent trend and awesome speed fig in the January 4th event. It was this gelding's greatest at that distance and this one should bounce today. SIR MARION LEWIS - Garnered a most unsatisfactory rating in the last race in a $5,000 Claiming race on January 4th. Unlikely to see an improved performance off of that figure.
