Yup. Thanks. Bama done for year. No playoffs

Well saidHere’s the deal with this injury. Any dislocation of the hip joint means that the ball (femoral head) came out of the acetabulum (socket). The hip is a very stable joint with significant bony and soft-tissue restraints, so any dislocation is the result of a tremendous amount of force/energy.
The concern when this occurs is whether or not the femoral head loses it's blood supply from the blood vessels tearing when the dislocation occurs. If this happens, the femoral head (ball of the hip) will 'die' and the bone becomes brittle. This eventually leads to collapse of the bone and resultant arthritis.
Now, combine this with a fracture of the back part of the acetabulum. This means that the socket broke/fractured with the dislocation. Higher energy injury. The cartilage of the hip joint is now invariably damaged to some degree. This leads to higher rates of arthritis.
Tua is at significant risk of this being career-ending. The next few months will tell the tale, if his femoral head survives and he does not develop severe post-traumatic arthritis.
