Oops...you're right java.

Even if he hits the gateway, he's only going to get the IP of the internal interface...which tells him nothing.

You might check the netstat at the place you are ssh-ed into. Check their log to see from where your ssh is coming.

Good idea, running netstat on the remote box worked perfectly in showing my outbound ip
