Inflation is on fire. +9.7% is going to look like a bargain in years 27-36, Peak Baby boom. By the time I get there Medicare will be $605 a month. I have an EU passport so no Medicare for me.
When I'm in Europe and tell people Americans pay $750-$2000 a month for health insurance they are shocked. People in America go bankrupted over medical bills, lose everything. It's an insane situation, for people who work for a living. It's gonna implode at some point, it's like that national debt, it's not sustainable.

How does Medicare help some poor bastard between 45-65 who's working 50 hrs a week at a shitty $20 hr job? With 3 kids, he is paying $900-$1500 a month. God forbid if he is obese, a smoker with a pre existing conditions.
Obama care helped that kind of poor bastard? A working family man making less then $124K but more then $31K could pay $200 a month for insurance. Of course the deductible would be 5-10k, but at least he would not lose everything in bankruptcy after heart attack.
