Trump had a solid couple of minutes while talking about the economy, but then devolved into specious claims about Biden’s son, and tried spinning his deadly lack of response to the pandemic into something good. Still, if Trump could have muzzled himself, even a little, he would have fared better than what the post-debate polls are showing.

Trump was Trump. It's how he defeated 16 Republicans and one Democrat in 2016 and why he will be reelected easily in 2020.

Tonight every snowflake and pajama boy in the America soiled their panties while every freedom-loving Patriot was practically chanting "USA! USA! USA!" from their couches.

Biden: My son was a hero and patriot!

Trump: Really? Which one, Hunter? Hunter got thrown out of the military. He was thrown out, dishonorably discharged for cocaine use. He didn’t have a job until you became vice president, and once you became vice president, he made a fortune in China, in Moscow and various other places....“He made a fortune.”

BOOM!

It’s all about the numbers – numbers you believe are fake – but really count nonetheless. You believe it will be a replay of 2016, but that took the Wikileaks and Comey bombshells in October to crater Hillary’s chances, and Trump’s polls are currently worse than they were then, and are not improving. I can only think that the announcement of a vaccine – whether it works or not – in late October might give Trump a chance. Otherwise, Democrats will likely win the White House as well as the Senate.

Oh those numbers count, do they?

I suspect the numbers you're looking at will turn out as accurate your "Southern States" doom-and-gloom spreadsheet prognostications.

Trump enjoys a whopping 20+ edge in voter enthusiasm over Biden. His approval ratings are higher than Obama's were at this point in his presidency. To say his base is locked up would be an understatement.

So Trump's clear strategy going forward (which you probably didn't notice tonight because you were too busy frothing at the mouth with TDS) is to get Biden to disavow all of the far left base's pet desires. You know, all things no sane American wants any part of - Green New Deal, de-funding the police, packing the courts, Antifa, etc., which will utterly demoralize the radical yet ultra-sensitive far left base making them no shows on election day. The Biden campaign is already in damage control tonight, and I promise you it's only going to get worse in the coming weeks as they bleed more and more votes.

We know Trump voters will crawl over broken glass in a hurricane on election day IN PERSON, while the brainwashed snowflakes traumatized by Wuhan virus fear porn will vote by mail which will include MANY faulty ballots that will eventually get tossed by the SCOTUS.

So by all means, keep flaunting your simplistic poll numbers like they mean something. Only one matters and tonight Trump began SHATTERING Biden's far left base and thus widening that pivotal enthusiasm gap even further.

It is easy to say/taunt that Trump will win easily with almost 5 weeks to go, because in their minds everyone will forget what was predicted

if the prediction does not come to pass.

I assure you that if the Election was tomorrow, that those who make such moronic/clueless/baseless predictions would not be making them unless they

are even dumber and out of touch with reality than I already perceive them to be.

I will second what you say even though I am not a Trump supporter.

It is never a good idea to be one's own worst enemy.

Ok-sorry for not quoting what you said in its entirety, although I obviously don't agree with the second part.

If only Trump weren't his own worst enemy, if only he were more "presidential" and gracious..he'd have the libtards here who have been smearing him the last 4 years ready to vote him, just like they did with President McCain and President Romney.

Gosh darn it, why doesn't Trump just see the light?

Sara Palin was probably the only reason I did not vote for McCain.

Same here. What a poison pick for VP Palin was. Don't think he would have won anyway - but he would've had my vote.

Imo there are a number of folks who are reasonable, fair and down-to-earth Republicans whom I respect and would have no problem with if they were the POTUS.

A few names which come to mind are John Kasich, Mitt Romney and Mike DeWine.

That's why you're a Democrat.

Trump is rewriting the political litmus test and those guys have been rewritten right out of relevancy.

I agree, he is his worse enemy. He can't stay on point, he can't avoid petty billshit,....

But he's delivers on policy and promises, and that's what matters most to me and for the country

Imo it is the other way around, namely that Trump be defeated so that traditional Republican and reasonable values return,

and more importantly, that the Republicans nominate people who care about the country FIRST rather than the present POTUS, who is

an outlier so to speak and who considers people as nothing more as pawns, whose help/votes he needs

to further his self-serving agenda.

Imo the folks I cited are perfect examples of the kind of people who could restore some normalcy to the Party.
