Definitely not doing enough and clearly made a major tactical error (you can call it intentional if you want) to prioritize the GOPe agenda over immigration (which is the #1 policy issue that got him in) his first few years when he had the house. He let Ryan and the GOPe game him on that one and probably won't ever get to be as ambitious as his rhetoric on the subject. That Russia stuff driving a wedge between Trump/Sessions didn't help either as Sessions a #1 immigration ally.

But he has cut refugee numbers, pushed for those on work visas to be independent of gov't subsidy, showed a fair amount of moxy during the parents/kids issue (when every other politician would've caved fast), that's just off my head.

Some of that stuff is accurate, no one is saying it is going to be easy. The donors in both parties want mass migration to continue for a variety of reasons even if several aspects of it don't benefit Americans at all and much of our current system actively screws over Americans.

But a lot of those headlines read "House democrats...."....Usually you're never going to have more political capital than you do at the beginning of your 1st term and Trump had the house, he had blue senators running in red states in the '18 midterms that he could've arm twisted and leaned on with a clearly winning issue. He also could've told his own party that their priorities aren't getting done until the people's priorities get done. Instead he chose the same 'ol GOPe agenda to start things off...tax cuts, repeal obamacare.......These may be good policies on the whole but to waste political capital on them over immigration was shortsighted. Anyone with a pulse on American politics knows that wasn't what the 2016 election was about.

And RT is correct when he says he lacks focus on the issue. He comes out in favor of the RAISE Act but then never mentions it again, he says he is going to look into ending birthright citizenship (this has the support of probably 80% of the country atleast, total no brainer and low hanging fruit) and then just never mentions it again.
