What am I missing? I figured they would be favored by at least 7 here.

The only teams Troy loses to are BCS teams on their field.

They went to the Horseshoe and played well against tO$U. They were killing LSU before a complete collapse.

Their losses the past 2 years:

2007:
at Georgia (went to the Sugar Bowl) by 10
at Florida (BCS-caliber team) by 28
at Arkansas (Cotton Bowl team) by 20
vs FAU (the one Sun Belt game they drop each year for some odd reason) by 6

2008:
at Ohio State (BCS bowl team) by 18
at Oklahoma State (BCS-caliber team) by 31
at LSU (Chick-Fil-A Bowl team) by 9
at LaMo (the one Sun Belt game they drop each year for some odd reason) by 1

Where does "neutral field to a 6-6 Southern Miss team" fit in there?

this game is a pickem and if the top reciever from USM didn't break his leg Troy would get smoked. USM is walking all over them even without him.

I'm taking USM 2H. We'll see what the line is. Yardage is 276-149. USM is the much bigger/more athletic team and Troy usually fades in the 2nd half.
