If you guys get a chance to play some live poker in Florida, I recommend it highly! In my experiences it is a very soft and wild game, especially since the max buy in is $100 bucks.

I played in a tourny, donked my way around but nothing great came along, blinds were moving up pretty quick so with a little over 10k with the blinds at 1k I picked up AK and pushed after 1 limper who I thought was a decent player and I might just pick up the chips out there. He was sitting at about 30k so it was for about a third of his stack and he tanks and finally calls with the monster that is A9. Great right, I even hit a K on the flop, problem was it was 3 spades and he had the As, turn is a spade and busto. Happy with my play though, never had anything to play and lasted a decent amount of time and got my money in good.

They opened up a new cash game as people busted from tourny and all I can say is wow. About the loosest play I have ever seen which I believe is responsible from the 100 max buy in. In the first 10 min I saw all in's after the flop with K10 on a 10 high board, J2 on a jack high board, and also a hand where all the money went into the middle before the flop of A8o vs 99 vs KJ. As you can imagine I am liking this table, just need to pick up a hand.

Well before I can do anything, new guy sits down, first hand he pushes all in, 1 caller and he flips over 83. He rebuys and does it all over. This guy pushes all in and loses 10 straight hands, most the time not even looking at his cards. On hand 11 I pick up QQ and he is in BB, figure its going in anyways and hopefully I can get this guy heads up, so I push all in, unfortunatly I get a caller and of course wild man calls too. The caller has AK, wild man some bs and me QQ, K on flop and their goes my first buy in. Wild man calms down and just starts raising every hand which is great because it allows me to play, I take his buy in's twice with K10c which I hit a flush and AA when he hit mid pair. So I am now sitting up 1 buy in and just continue to build it with mid sized pots up to 400. Only got in one tight spot after that, wild man raised (of course, he had gone through about 2k at this point at a 100 max buy in game) and tight guy to my right makes it 60 and I have QQ, ouch. With no money invested I fold, which I hate to do, but man I just had that feeling. Wild man calls and flop comes 10 10 4, wild man checks and tight guy pushes his remaining 200 in and wild man folds. I have to believe that I either had the tight guy in big trouble with JJ or he had me in big trouble with KK AA. So, im thinking about packing it in and all of a sudden I hear YELLING.......

So its this lady yelling like a banshee and we think she is having a heart attack, nope, bad beat just hit. Quad 88's vs Quad 77's. People are freaking out and most the room seems pretty happy which I don't get. Turns out, at this poker room, everyone gets a cut, sweet! Bad beat was at 150k which meant that the "loser" gets 60k and the winner of the hand gets 40k, the table all got 2k and everyone in the room got $280, sweet!

So that was a nice little bonus and something that will help the bankroll going to vegas in a few weeks
