i really don't consider him a traitor, just scum. he represents what i despise about politicians which is how they forget about the people they represent once elected, but purely seek to keep their job. he is despised by the western half of the state and knew he could never keep his job as a republican. the more populous half of the state, eastern pa, is always going to pull the democrat lever, no matter the candidate, so he jumped ship to save his job.

I liken this to a really shitty sales rep for Cisco that knows he's going to be fired so takes a job offer from Nortel to keep the paychecks coming. Nothing more, nothing less.
