Aloha Gang....First and foremost, I hope you all are in good healths and spirits today...and that you didnt miss me that much..LOL.(jk)...Well we got action today and that is always a good thing to have...I am coming off of my 1st BIG GAME PLAY---EZ WINNER on La Tech on Monday, so me and all who followed are already in the positive to start the week...SWEEEEET!
So far this year I am hitting 60% for all my sides and teaser selections at 15W-10L....100% in POPS69 POW selections at 4W-0L...and 80% on all my TOP PLAYS released at 4W-1L....I dont really like to spend to much time on the past, but here it is and....now we are done with that shit...Today is a new day and what occurred in the past games provides no guarantees in the future...Believe That!...All we can do is to continue to work hard and stay positive...So with that said, LETS GET TO ROCKIN ALREADY!
**TOP 6 UNIT PLAY ON:
Missouri -11 (buy .5pt)(Outright Upset Loser 24-14...Unreal)
-The KEY ? in this one is whether or not this Troy team will be able to score enough on Offense vs this tough Tiger Defense that returns 9 starters from last years squad...I say they will struggle...QB Aaron Leak for Troy(1,427 , 42.5%, 7 TD's, 12 Ints) leads the Offense, and he is NOT anything special at all...In fact, although they put up 17 pts last week and upset Marshall, this Offense led by Leak isnt an offensive attack that will be able to comeback should Smith and the Boys get a big lead, or be able to match score for score with the exciting and explosive QB Smith and company...
The Trojans are still solid on the defensive side of the ball that does return 9 starters from last years team, and Defense is what Troy has been known for...But this is College ball, and more times than not the one with the better high scoring potent Offense wins out...But, I see this Tiger defensive squad today shinning and thus will be the reason why their Offense will shine even that much more brightly today...As I have mentioned earlier, they(Tigers) do return 9 starters from last season and with one game under their belts, should be much more than ready to dominate this weak Troy Offense all game long....
Final Key ? for this game is whether or not this Troy Defense who hasnt faced a caliber of QB like Brad Smith(Rushing 1,415 , 6.8 ypr, 18 TDs)(Passing 1,979 ,60.1%, 11 TDs, 7 Ints) before, be able to hold him in check for 4 quarters...I say NO WAY!...But wait, not only will they have to contend with Smith, as this years Tiger team is not only about Brad Smith...Troy will also still need to deal with the very athletic, and the Biggest Recruit in Coach Pinkel's era who will finally get his chance to shine, in RB Nash (462 , 5.2 ypr, 5 TDs)...and lets not forget about the Tigers Big WR corp that returns two of their Top three from last season, in 6-5 Coffey, 6-3 Omboga, and 6-3 soph Ekwerekwu, who some are saying should be one of the best WR in schools history when its all said and done...
Bottom line is I feel Troy will come out and make a valiant effort and play well initially due to this one being a nationally televised game, as well as, being their first home game of the season in front of their fans...But when everything has settled down a bit and the Tigers find themselves in a close one, I see the embarrassing memories of MTST overtime from last year coming back into the minds of this Tiger team with Big plans this year,...jump starting their explosive Offense into Turbo drive...The overwhelming talent level with Smith and Company will be to much in the end for this Troy Defense to continually have to try and stop all game long...And, I also feel that it will be this Tiger's Defense that should dominate the weak offensive attack of the Trojans, giving their Offense all the field positions and opportunities it will need to put this baby safely away for another Tiger Blowout win....Today the Trojan Horse gets left at the gate and the Tigers give them a rude welcome into playing big time, Big 12 football...Go Tigers!
