TOP PLAYS OF THE DAY FOR SUPER SUNDAY!

Aloha Gang! Today I am seriously hoping to bounced back from yesterdays ugly day. I hit 2 of 3 of my top plays, and pushed on the Hawaii game as one missed FT cost us a close cover. Still, the lower unit plays stunk up the day and this caused me to put in extra time on this card in order to get back those lost units. I have responded with solid showing the day following a terrible outting. So I feel confident that the extra work should pay off for us. Todays card, I will be working each game up until 30 mins to each tip off, as I dont want to miss anything. So you need to check back to get the additional plays as the day goes by. Lets start it off today with this one.



4 Unit Play on:


Miami -3(LOSE)



-Nova is a solid 7-1 ats on the road, but only 6-4 su. Miami though is also solid at home going 4-1 ats, and 9-2 overall. The difference between these two, is shown in a slight advantage in play on the Hurricane side based on the last 5 games. Miami in its last 5 games has gone 4-1 ats, whereas Nova posted a 2-3 mark and also shot a lower FG% than Miami in this span. I simply have to back the more solid play of Miami, who is also very tough at home. The line should be easily covered , by low dd's in this one.

Wake Forrest -2(LOSE)


-Florida St hangover? Very likely. But my selection with Wake is more so based on the fact that they are scoring an avg of 86.8 ppg on the road, and have posted a solid 4-2 SU and ATS away from home. Florida St in their last 5 games have gone 1-4 SU and ATS. They have also been struggling to score holding a low avg of 66.2 ppg during this time, down from their season avg of 76.8 ppg. Eventhough they seem to have broken out of this slump in the NC game, I am not sold just yet that they are completely out of it. Also, Senior PG Nate Johnson suffered an injury in NC game and may not be able to contribute at all tonight. If he is unable to play effectively, Fl St will have to rely on two untested Guards to share time leading the team. This is where Wake Forrest should be able to capitalize on, as they rotate 4 solid guards who all avg scoring in double digits. Wakes Guard play should be the difference in this one, even if a hobbling Johnson suits up to play. Plus, I think asking for back to back upsets over ranked opponents is top much for these Seminoles to achieve. Hmmm, reminds me of the Football team. Get the number now as it seems to be going up. Toledo +8


-Wow, this is alot of points to give this Toledo squard who have been playing solid ball especially on the road this year. This year, they are 6-3 SU and 6-2 ATS on the road. Kent is just 2-3 ATS at home this year. But I like the fact that the Rockets are averaging a higher FG% on the road , then Kent St is at home. The Rockets as well have the ability to score from 3pt land, and their solid % from there should be the difference in this one. I wouldnt be surprised if they win outright. In fact I think they will pull the upset today.



3 Unit Plays on:


SW Miss St -1, S Ill -15


-SW Miss St has the history of success between these two on their side as they have gone 10-3 SU vs Drake since 1997. They have also in this time, posted a 9-4 ATS record since 1997. A more recent stat between these two shows SW Miss St going 3-1 SU and ATS vs Drake, in the last 3 years. Drake has got to be reeling after suffering back to back consecutive road losses and now must face this talented SW Miss St squad at home. To make matters worse for Drake, is the fact that they will probably have to play without their G Robinson due to an ankle injury his suferred. This is not good news at all for Drake, as Robinson is not only the team leader and runs the show, but he is also the teams leading scorer averaging 11.5 ppg. Look to SW Miss St to take full advantage of his absence with an easier win then expected.

-The Salukies are simply running over their weaker Conf opponents. In fact they have already spanked this Ind St team on their home court by 17pts. S Ill is 4-1 ATS and 5-0 SU the last 3 years vs Ind St. Ind St. this year has also been weak on the road going 2-6, and only scoring an avg of 55 ppg and shooting only 38% FG on the road. Senior G Marcus Howard is questionable in this game today and that just adds to their troubles. No way does Ind St pull any type of upset in this game today. Plus, this will be a one game home stand for the Salukies, as they have to hit the road again after this one. I have to think they will want to give the home fans a good show and the fans will want them to also entertain them with a blowout game. Dam, this could be over by halftime.

No Ill -7



-The Bulls are just 2-5 SU and 2-3 ATS on the road. They are shooting also 41% while they allow opponents so shoot 49% on the road. They are simply lacking any type of Def to stop any of their opponents from scoring and this has been their main reason for their lack of wins. N Ill is a solid team at home posting a 6-1 SU and 3-1 ATS at home. Here they are shooting 48.2% from the field, but more impressively is that they are holding their opponents to an avg of 59 ppg and just 34% from the field. They should be able to get an easy double digit win against this Bull squad today. N Ill has the talent and was thought by many to compete for the MAC title, unfortunately that wont happen this year, still they do take care of their House and that is worth alot to me in this one.



4 Unit Play on:


Manhattan -6.5



-Manhattan this year is 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS on the road. They have won 8 straight games, with 4 of those wins coming on the road. In their last 5 games, they are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS. In Conf games though, they are 8-0 and 7-1 ATS. In this span, they are averaging 85 ppg and shooting a good 48% FG. Iona on the other hand is just 2-3 ATS at home and in their last 5 games have gone 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS, while averaging 78 ppg. They are also on a 3 game losing streak, and are also 2-4 SU and ATS the last 3 seasons vs Manhattan. Manhattan proven on the road and proven to have the better talent between the two. Road team continues its winning ways in this one.
