Aloha all, we got a huge card today, so lets get to it. This is also my first Saturday posting, so I will be adding on to this thread with other plays as the day goes on. For now though, these are locked and loaded. Lets hope they continue the positive trend I started last night in college hoops, where I went 5-0= +19 Units on the Day. Hold on , cause here we go!

4 Unit Plays on:

Ill St. -2.5(LOSE), Stanford E (WIN), N.C. -3(buy .5pt)(LOSE), Boston Coll -6(LOSE)

3 Unit Plays on:

Boise St. -1(WIN), St. Joes -3(buy .5pt)(LOSE), S. Carolina -3(PUSH), SW Miss St. -2(WIN)

2 Unit Plays on:

Pepperdine -4(buy .5pt)(LOSE), Oregon -4(LOSE), Cal Irv -3(buy.pt)(LOSE)

These are my Top Plays so far. As you can see, I couldn't resist backing all the small favorites. I think most of theses lines should have been abit higher, but I am not going to grumble. I will be adding additional selections throughout the day. I have about two to three other plays that look good, but I want to wait awhile before I put them out. Good Luck to all today, Aloha CC.

Duke -4 (WIN)

-With Texas leading scorer (15.2 pts per game) G Brandon Moutan being unable to play in this one, due to suffering an ankle injury on Tuesday. I have to give a big edge to the strong defensive play of the Blue Devils. Even if he plays, it wont be at 100% and this will definately take away from the high scoring that Texas is capable of. I hope he decides to rest today.

Co Captain...In your selections you buy alot of 1/2 points...are you paying 10 cents for each 1/2 point...Does this not make it much more difficult to grind out profits with all those games at -120?

SportSavant, it could cut into your budget if you lose those plays that you bought points with. I buy them cause I cant tell you how many games I lost because of the one point or half a point. I only buy points in games where I see some posibility of a closer game then expected.

But to tell you the truth Savant, paying the -120 on games is to me a norm, because here in Hawaii, the juice is set at 20% on all plays. So I am very used to paying this amount, as it is only recently and with the Offshore Books, where I now pay less. This being the case, I have always started an maintained my budget based on paying -120 for all games played. It is something that I have been doing for so long, so now, it is me who benefits from using the Offshore books , cause now I have somewhat of a reserves in my budget. This extra 10% in reserve, is what now also use to buy up to one to one and half points.

Still though, for those who didnt start their money management budget based on these extra juice, yes it can cause them to come up short or overbudgeted. Also, I am selective when I buy points, and sometimes it is due to trying to lock in a number early before it drops or rises. I hate waiting on the public or sharps to move the lines. If I see an advantage, I act on it myself. Bottom line to me is sometimes you gotta pay a higher price to get a number you can visualize the outcome covering. If not, it could come back, as it did me, in causing nightmares when I lost buy that half pt. My collegue sees it as paying for added insurance.

SportsSavant, I forgot to add, that in some cases, you basically have no choice but to buy pts as the line on your strong play has now increased. Perfect example is todays TB game that was at -7 and at -110 or -7 and at -120., like it was at Betroyal. Now it is at 7.5 but now back to -110. Tb is my strongest play, but the line at 7 and 7.5 make a difference. And since I would be playing this game for more, I see it as a good investment to spend that extra 10% in order to get the line back down to -7. In this case, I had to buy it down. I think in BZ's thread, he paid the extra juice to buy down the TB spread to 6.5. So sometimes, you need to spend the money, but make sure it benefits you somehow. Aloha CC.

Well I have an account @ Bet365 They have the Bucks -9 -105 so I bought 1 Full point & am getting +10 -125 on Vic....

I sincerly hope that we both win...

Incidentally are those hawaii bookmakers on crack? 20 cents on standard bets...That is Robbery...Open an account with Pinnacle or IIS & lay -105.

I have several account with offshore books, but thanks for the advice.

The 20% juice is just something that comes with the territory. Its illegal here to have gambling, its done on credit. So all you need to do is call in your plays and the amounts to a bookie. Pay up day and pay out day for winners and losers are on Weds of the following week. The week usually starts on Thursday to Weds.

When you come to Hawaii be prepared to pay a higher cost for things. Like gas, we have the highest cost for gas in the US . We pay over $2.00 a gallon for gas. I will share with you some advice that will save you some money when you come here. Dont buy anything from Waikiki. Whatever they have their for sale is sold all over the island. All you need to do is travel outside of Waikiki in any direction for 5 miles and the prices of things are cheaper. Waikiki is a tourist trap and you are going to get ripped off. Its a Trap.

Guys if your interested in playing this game, get it now as I seen some places where the line is going up. Royal sports has it as Hawaii -7.5. If you wait till the end, you may have to lay up to 8-8.5pts on Hawaii.

SportsSavant, if your line is -9 play it for 3 units, and also tease it with Auburn using 4 pts, as an insurance play for 3 units. If you can find a line at 6 pts or lower, I recommend you play it for 6 Units and also use it with Auburn in a two teamer with 4 pts. Aloha CC.

I am way too much of a contrarion to play a game when the line has moved from 6 to 9...In fact it is so many points I may put some Pizza Money on Norleans...

Not that i dont respect your opinion, quite the contrary i do...but that is a heck of alot of points & a big swing for a game that has a total of 129...Here is hoping for a 8 point Hawaii victory!!!!!
