Arkansas State + 20
This team has burned me before, but not in the underdog role. The Indians are on a role and have their confidence back after winning their last 2 conference games. ASU has found a spark in freshman running back Chris Easly. Easly has gained over 100 yards in the last two games. The local papers and school paper has been harping on North Texas' conference winning streak all week. ASU wants nothing more than to end that streak this weekend. ASU is not out of the conference race yet...a win this weekend will put them right back in it. ASU also remembers the sting from the home loss to NTexas last year when NT scored on a late touchdown to get the win.UNT has had two close finishes in Sun Belt play, beating Middle Tennessee State 33-28 and ULM 28-26. A late defensive stand sealed last weekend’s victory at ULM. NT hasn't exactly blown anyone out this year. Biggest margin was a 52-14 win early over Baylor. In conference action Idaho led UNT by two touchdowns before falling 24-14. Utah State made crucial kicking-game errors in a 37-27 loss. Louisiana-Lafayette trailed by a touchdown going into the fourth quarter of a 44-23 loss. ASU 17 North Texas 14
LSU -6.5 over Bama.
This game has been hashed and rehashed all week. LSU is one of THE best teams in the country, and they have a bone to pick with Bama. LSU will punish Bama this weekend.
Auburn +7 vs Georgia
Auburn is the more talented team. Will they get outcoached? probably. But the more physical team and bruising running attack should be enough to keep it close. Visiting team has won last 10 of 11 in this series.
Memphis +7 vs Louisville.
Memphis is the only team in the nation to outgain its opponent every game this year. Their running back Williams and QB Winprine are firing on all cylinders right now. Should be well rested coming off a bye week.
NCState +14 vs. FSU
NCSt offense should keep it close.
