why is skybook better than bowmans? cris? carib? 5dime?

their contests are cool but that doesnt make them a top 5 book. they dont offer much outside a free half point.

I can't say they are better as unlike some here ( not saying you) I have not played at 167 books...and am only speaking of the books I played at who my top 5 are ...so I see your point General N.

Lander, why even have this thread if we're all suppose to agree with you.As far as my vision is concerned I've been with 20 shops ,give or take a couple, Olympic included and I don't see anything special there thats any better then any shop I've listed. NO 1/2 point, no reduced vig, pretty straight lines. pretty good shop but not in my top 5

Actually there were several posts before mine that I didn't neccessarily agree with it but unlike you I didn't say anything. What difference does it make anyway, I have been playing these shops pretty hard the last several years, probably like you, and we all have our own opinions and I doubt very much,that this thread is going to change that. If I had to keep 5 shops and 5 only I would keep the 5 I mentioned without hesitation.

Last two are more early season nods:
Canbet - going downhill with less of the reduced juice, but quite often move numbers a little slower than the others so still get good action from them
Bodog - seem to have cut back on the juicy dog numbers, shall see what happens in the future

Next in line:
5 Dimes - much on the merits of 5 cent baseball, I rarely get the best number from them though otherwise

I think everyone's list depends on the limits they play, if they bet online or phone, and if they require a lot of financial transactions. I bet relatively small, play 99% online, and withdraw or deposit maybe 5 or 6 times a year with each book at most.
