Done a lot of homework for this season and have learned a lot about capping over the last year thanks to this site and guys like GoSooners, Sooners BS, Conan, and Ducks. Hopefully it will pay off:

UTEP +3 vs. Buffalo
Troy -6.5 vs. MTSU
Wyoming -10 vs. Ohio
Oklahoma St -7 vs WSU

I'll be interested to see what UTEP does in this first game, because they come home next week to play Texas. And I've always heard that El Paso is a tough place to play when the Miners are hosting Big 12 teams. The fans get sky high for those games.. If Texas blows out FAU in the first game, we might get a good number with UTEP for that game.....Good luck Tootight...I like the plays.

I was eyeing that Troy/Middle Tennessee game but talked myself into laying off. Seems like Troy will be down a notch this season while Middle Tenn will be up a notch. A touchdown is a little much for me to lay on that one right now.

I am really tempted to join you on Wyoming. I'm going to see if I can learn a little more from their practices before pulling the trigger, though.

I see a lot of posters taking Buffalo over UTEP. Does anyone have some good information about this game? I really like UTEP this year and think they are much more talented and better coached than Buffalo. I just wasn't sure if they have a habit of not traveling well.

I think this is a good spot for Buffalo here. They are coming off their best season as a division 1 team and expectations are high. They will be fired up for the start of the season and know this is a very winnable game for them. They return 18 starters from last seasons team including Quarterback Drew Willy. Willy will return for his senior year and his 4th year starting. He took a big jump last year throwing for 15 TD's and just 6 INT's, as well as throwing for more nearly 1200 more yard than his previous season. They return 4 starters on the offensive line including an all-league guard Jeff Niedermier, who has started 30 consecutive games. At running back junior James Starks returns after posting a 1000 yard season in 2007. On the defensive side of the ball they return all 4 members of the secondary. The UTEP defense will have their hands full trying to contain the Buffalo offensive attack. Last season the Miners ranked 117th in the nation in total defense. Their only hope would seem to be in a shoot out and that will spell trouble for them. They return just 5 starters on offense. Their coach acknowledges that they may be in some trouble "We have not been explosive like we need to be,"Head Coach Mike Price said. "We haven't make many big plays.”. Everything seems to be in favor of the Bulls in this game and the line is not bad at all for a home team where the visitors are coming from very far away. I like Buffalo here to light up the score board and cover the spread with ease.

5-3 and 1 for the first week is not bad. I added Oregon and Illinois once the line got to 10 (Illini, Mizzou that is). I'm glad GoSooners talked me out of the over in the Mizzou game, 92 points total!!

May take a couple more games this weekend. GL everyone and props to Conan and Ducks on your Pac 10 analysis and SoonerBS and GS you guys killed it on your Big 12 picks.
