Heading out the door to the movies. Won't be back till less than an hour before the game. I really don't know why but a couple of you guys will be interested in how i'm playing it. I'm not a really good cappers like some others in here are. I'm just an old guy who's been betting since I was about 16 with a local. Without telling my ago that's pretty close to 35 years of paying my man. Gonna have a small party for the game. Couple of my friends, few of the wife gf's and whoever else knocks on the door before 8pm est. Bought my wife a shirt today that say's ..."Beat Pittsburgh...again" She's got it on already. Everyone in the house will be cheering like mad when the Wings step onto the ice. As will ai. ai remember last year ai looked out my front door and neighbors porch lights were flickering on and off minutes after the horn sounded. This town NEEDS this game for something to feel good about. The economy is really bad here in the Motor City.
I see so many "for sale" signs it's unbelievable. So while my whole house will be rockin and cheering for the Wings. I will as well. And I won't tell anyone n the house until it's over but.......I'm playing the Pens. Right now their +177 at Matchbook.com. I expect about a half hour before they drop the puck it will go up even higher. Then the Wing money should come in a little.
For the past 3 days all I've read about is the stats and the history and the probability of the Wings winning again. something in my gut tells me that that kid Crosby won't disappoint a 2nd year in a row. I always like to try and determine before betting on a game.......who wants this game more? The Wings will want it to show their a dynasty. And for Hossa. And for the city of Detroit. But Detroit just won last season. 9-0% of their players have a ring. And drank from the cup. 18 skaters and 2 goalies on Pittsburgh didn't experience that at the end of last season. They watched the Wings skate around their building passing around that cup. The felt terrible. They let their crowd down. Marian Hossa really wants to win a Cup. He took a pay cut to come here and win a ring. 18 skaters and 2 goalies REALLY want a cup for Pittsburgh. Badly. Crosby want's to show he not only got them BACK in this position this year. He wants Bettman to pass him that big silver thing after 3 periods tonight. So do the Pens. And they wan't it MORE than Detroit in all their guts. So I figure I really can't lose in this situation. If the Wings win, this town goes nuts for another summer. If they lose....I'll have another $177.00 in my account. Good luck guys...I'm out the door.
