Wow! What can i say, what a tough toigh loss today, it was 31-2 right before the half and USC only scored 7pts the rest of the way, got outscored 28-7. I dont know how many 4th downs Cal made, seems like a million, but as soon as they scored their 3rd td, i kinda knew ill lose this one. Sorry to those who follow =(
Didn't have a 'dog in the fight' for this game but I am not a fan of Sarkisian. I think ultimately he will prove to be an unsuccessful hire by Haden. He underachieved at Washington and yet Haden couldn't wait to get rid of Ogeron and hire Sarkisian. Think they will also lose to UCLA this year.
I don't know that much about Sark, but one thing that seems obvious is that once USC comes of the sanctions and can play at full strength, I think they will have the talent pool to return to the top 10 teams in the country. They are going to return 10 starters from that offense next year and Kessler to Agholor will be about as good as it gets in CFB. If that o-line can get some experience and develop a running game they should be one of the favorites in the Pac-12 next year. How many USC TDs were called back by the refs last night? Think I counted 3 and maybe it was me, but the Pac-12 refs are horrible, worse than the NFL.
