Gameface:

Do you have any clue about Iran? Those nuke reactors are hard to get at and the fallout will include many innocent civilians based on their locations ...

Russia has 40 billion invested in these Nuke reactors ... and a defv pact they signed in 91 with Iran ..

Hell, we cant get the job done in Iraq and now you want the USA to take on Iran???

That Bush Cowboy mentality is not gonna work .. we are spread too thin and the backlash on this upcoming Iranian excursion is too much meat for this country to chew on right now militarily

Ya better think before ya move this time ...

In all, there are perhaps two dozen suspected nuclear facilities in Iran ....

Even if the United States did not actively participate with operations inside Iranian air space, the US would be a passive participant by virtue of allowing Israeli aircraft unhindered passage. In the eyes of the world, it would generally appear to be a joint US-Israeli enterprise, any denials notwithstanding

The backlash from the Arab world will be bloody...

Again, ya first better decide on what the hell ya going do with Iraq before making this movev...

As far as the euro-dudes, (the general public), are concerned, you're on your own.

Coming out of my local shop today I overheard the flipping Lollipop lady saying "I heard its because America is full of evangelical christians"

Society over here is totally gobsmacked by the result.

Tony Blair must be crapping himself :>Grin> :>Grin> , there really is no exit for our boys now.

I really don't want to see the spread of the war in the Middle East - just the spread of Democracy which is anathema to the terrorist animals.

Of course, If someone wants to drop a nuke or two on France - well, such an idea does have some merit.

You dont know much about the arab world do you? If israel attacked iran the rest of the arab world would be UPSET, but do nothing to israel. They know israel is capable of whiping them off the face of the earth with much better fire power. Not to mention the fact that most arab nations could care less about iran and would probably quietly support israel because i doubt they trust iran with nukes any more than the US does.

Lets remember that the leaders of these arab nations are billionaires, only interested in maintaining their power and wealth. Most of the leaders are more rationale than they were in the 50s through 80's. They publicly decry the actions of israel but deep down they need israel. Israel is their smokescreen. While the arab people are in an uproar over israel and the US they dont have time to realize that they live in a backwards nation while their leaders own 30 palaces and are billionaires at their expense.

Likely scenario:

Israel hits Iran.
Iran hits Israel and American troops in Iraq (since the US is complicit.)
Israel retaliates with a full-blown air strike.
US 'drafts' Israeli army for ground assault into Iran from Iraq.
Russia sides with Iran.

WWIII.

Primetime:

Israel attacks and Hezbollah - financed by Iran - in S Lebanon lets loose with 10,000 rockets they have poised that can hit deep into Israel, including many with VX gas ... Lebanon is controlled by Assad of Syria and Damascus is home to a dozen terrorist organizations .. any VX gas unleashed against Israel will bring an auto nuke response from Israel .. the first nuke they built in 85 had inscribed on the tip: NEVER AGAIN and if anyone uses gas against Israel they will unleash nukes ...

The ENTIRE MUSLIM world has one goal: complete destruction of Israel.. heck, look at the Palestianian uprising .. took off when Sharon simply visited the Temple Mount in the fall of 2000 .. in Arafats office is a map of the Middle East: NO WHERE ON THE MAP IS ISRAEL

The stakes are different this time .. the entire Middle East has been building up to an explosion pt ... heck, Solana with the EU meets on Friday to propose a "Palestianian State" in the Middle East .. Sharon is risking being killed by his own folks with the pullback in Gaza and Bush needs to BACK OFF right now with supporting the pullback ... BADDD MOVE BY BUSH

Think again if ya think the Israeli bombing run wont bring response from the Arab world and Russia themselve - who invested 40 billion in the Nuke projects in Iran and signed a defv pact with Iran in 1991

Hey Judge, I'm with you - but you gotta admit that dropping a few nukes on France would be kinda enjoyble - we could get some popcorn and a few beers and cuddle up to the TV.....

Xpanda:

Very good ....

Actually, what comes into play is the real possibility of the following:

Syria controls S Lebanon and Hezbollah has 10,000 rockets they can launch into Israel .. many with VX gas ..

Now, it is foretold that Syria is completely destroyed once they fight their 4th war with Israel ... this would be #4

We have Gog & Magog warming up .. that is the Russian led Muslim alliance that invades Israel ..

The most likely event unfolding will be a Nuke response from Israel in which Damascus is taken out ...

Remember, there is an upcoming 7 yr peace deal that will be cut between Israel and the Arab world .. Solana is proposing on Nov 5th a peace deal in the Mid East

We may be very near to watching some very 'interesting' events unfolding in the Middle East

Do you want any allies left?

This sort of drivel is exactly why so much of the rest of the world despises the US. Even here in Britain most of the goodwill built up over 9/11 and Afghanistan has been wiped out by the bungling in Iraq.

There was once a guy who decided it would be a good idea to impose his ideas on the rest of the world by bombing them one by one. His name was Adolf and he wound up with a couple of cyanide pills in a Berlin bunker.

It didn't work then and it won't work now. Vietnam will look like a stroll in the park if Bush carries on with the "let's bomb x, let's bomb y, let's bomb z" policy.

And let's face it exactly what chance have you got of successfully carrying out such a policy? You've totally mucked up Iraq despite having 2 big bites at that cherry. It was flattened in 1991 and you're going to be there 5 to 10 years minimum taking casualties and making new enemies and martyrs.

Iran, Syria, North Korea etc. you haven't had even one bite at those cherries. And I doubt if China will be ok to watch from the sidelines while her sphere of influence is bombed.

Let's hope the fools in the White house listen to some wiser councils these next 4 years or we'll all pay a heavy price for it.

and another thing

Any of you guys so keen on more war should be signing up for the Marines right now in my view. All too easy to fight the good fight when you are snug in your armchair in Arkansas.

If you're so brave get out to Baghdad on the next plane and do us all a big favor.
