put it under her name or not.....it won't matter if she divorces you (don't believe for a second that a judge is not going to go after the corporation if she shows the judge it was bought/paid for with funds earned during the marriage etc, hiding assets under a corp works up to a point.........judges are very familiar with 'simulation fraud' that is, hiding stuff under a corp to prevent a proper distribution of funds)

now watch out for those alimoney payments.....that must be the ONE thing that gets enforced here.....I just read about a gringo that ended up in jail for that.

Probably not (be part of the assets to be distributed during a divorce ) and if this is stuff you acquired before your marriage then even more so. But if you put stuff under an SA while married .......in an effort to hide assets....this is likely to backfire if your wife suspects the existence of those assets.

I am not a lawyer so if you are in that situation...you better ask lawyers (and ask TWO opinions)

whats truly scary imho is that you don't even have to be legally married to be stripped of your assets, all you need is to live with a girl during 6 months....and its just the same as if you are married
