playing clemson (pk)
tigers the much better team here. we could go down the road of semantics and argue what makes a 'team' but in terms of what they are capable of on paper clemson is almost double-digits better than wake. make no mistake about it though - wake can level the playing field on almost anyone because they are incredibly well coached and they dont make stupid mistakes. but clemson is a fringe top 10 team when they arent shitting on themselves. this is one of those games where you will get decidedly different opinions because capping style plays a big role. if you care about stats and stuff like that, wake would be the logical play. theres no way to excuse the embarrassing loss clemson took to maryland. but im confident backing the tigers with the week off because the atlantic division is wide open and theyre still the best team in this conference. too many weapons on offense for wake to handle. deacs are outmanned tonight even in primetime at home.

there is no way that I can ever lay hard earned money on Clemson. Way better opportunities this week.

buffalo
long travel for western michigan. not easy to do for the mid-majors during conference play. buffalo undervalued and still improving. tough schedule preps them for this game coming off the collegiate bye.

oklahoma under
sooners wont be putting nintendo stats up against a very good defense. brown vs. stoops generally a lot lower scoring than people expect.

michigan state
hard to believe in northwestern when they have faced 5 1-AA caliber offenses. spartans will present a challenge NU hasnt remotely faced.

those are the early games im on. gl.

Agree with you on Buffalo.

What was up with Bowling Green last week losing to EMU?

for some reason, eastern plays bowling green very tough but gets annihilated by toledo every year. with each of those three schools being separated by less than an hour it always makes for a very easy road trip. i think thats a lot of it. its hard to explain why bgsu laid that egg though. while ive been following this conference for years and have done very well, there are some results that you just have to chalk up as 'that's the mac for ya' (and toledo/ball state certainly qualified for me last week. 3-0 halftime. 31-0 final) ... and that bgsu/emu game was another one thats tough to get my head wrapped around. you just almost have to accept there are going to be aberrations in this conference. the conference is a shell of what its been and more double digit chalks are losing SU than ever before. final note on bg- ive never been a big fan of gregg brandon. hes on ok coach but for awhile he was talked about as the next big thing in this mac and power conference teams had him on their radar. but hes not urban meyer by any stretch. meyer is the reason he even has the job at BG right now.

Good Luck Prodigy. May make the trek up to Mt Pleasant for WM/CM next week. Another reason to like Buffalo this week.
