Thursday Play(1 Absolute Play)

Kapusta back into winning form on Wednesday, nailing both 5* picks. 140-123 ytd.+41 units. 1 Absolute play today for me, along with a few others.

*5 Units-Niagara-8-over Marist-What a gift as Niagara is peaking and at the top of their game right now. Marist is really the bottom of the barrel of the Metro Atlantic Conference. Niagara beat them by 36 earlier in the year and should win this game by double-digits!

4 Units-Santa Barbara-3-over Fullerton-The Gouchos are a much better team and already handed Fullerton a doubl-digit loss will do the same here.

4 Units-Manhattan-9-over Rider-Manhattan in a different league than Rider. Look for them to make some waves in the NCAA tournie, they are damn good. Handing a very good Wisc-Milw a loss on the road, Manhattan just way too good. Rider lacks the size and depth to hang with the Jaspers.

3 Units-Tenn St.+7 1/2-over Samford-Way too many points for Samford to give here. These two ugly teams are pretty equal. I expect the series to be split as Tenn St. beat them by 12 earlier in the year, but it will be well within the number!

3 Units-Weber St.-1-over Eastern Washington-Have a hunch on this game as Eastern Washington is 11-1 in the conference and a huge log jam with the rest of the teams. Perfect spot for an upset here as Weber will be looking to avenge an earlier loss. Possible let-down for Eastern as they already have clinched the conference title.

Right Side I think I may have to the Gouchos handed them a 30+ point loss earlier, and the spread is 3. Granted they will keep it closer, but it will be a cover.

Kojak-Like your game of the month, Washington has been solid for me all year, especially Sunday in a game they should have won outright, NC State! I will definately lay a little cabbage on the Huskies, Good Luck on your plays! Great bounce-back day yesterday!

where do i start:

look at santa barbara on the road. i take that back - don't - it has been downright ugly lately - 4 straight losses - really none of them close witht heir only road win in the last 5 games @ cal poly - one of the worst teams in all of college hoops.

look at fullerton at home. 4 straight wins and it very easily could have been 5, for we led utah state 49-48 with 2 minutes to go before losing 57-49.

others have mentioned the 33 point ass whupping ucsb laid on fullerton around 4 weeks ago. true - but while you can't overlook the score - you should also know the circumstances behind the scenes of that game for fullerton that helped contribute to that blowout. those are gone now and if anything - getting your head handed to you by 33 points will only motivate fullerton even more.

right now - the way ucsb plays on the road and fullerton at home - NO WAY i could lay points with the nachos - NO WAY!

the last 3 games between thse 2 at fullerton have been ucsb wins by 3, 2 (and fullerton should have won this game by 1 point - i was at this game and ucsb won the game on the WORST call i have ever seen in my entire life - the 3 refs at this game should have all been fired ASAP for this call was so bad - even the ucsb players and fans know they got a break) and 3.

taking a look at the numbers ucsb puts up on the road and fullerton at home - the rather large edge goes to the home team.

you all can play ucsb - and i wish you luck - but not too much - for i'll be on the home dog +3 here and if/when fullerton wins SU it won't shock me 1 bit. this conference sucks (after utah state and pacific) and taking the points between 2 similar teams is never a bad way to go.

Winky I agree that this game will be much closer than the previous one, Fullerton is not that bad at home. Respect your opinion about all the westcoast action, but I'm gonna play Santa Barbara just cause their better, and need to get back on track after a couple of tough losses. BOTTOM LINE........Santa Barbara is the shits on the road...Period!! They are a perfect example of a team that plays VERY well at home and are money as home dogs, but on the road just a completley different team. WOW?!! They are getting hammered early here tonight..I'd be very surprised if they came back...
