I am up almost 13u on the year, but this is what I've posted here.

Somebody asked me in my last thread why I chose Malik Sealy as my name since he died tragically several years back. First, I am a huge St. Johns fan, have been since I was about 8 or 9 (the Chris Mullin Days!) Malik was one of my favorite players at St. Johns partly due to his ability, but also to his character. I followed him when he went on to the pros only to see him killed by a drunk driver. I just really admired him when I was a high school kid, I just had a special affinity for him. This is just sort of a respect to Malik.

Anyway, on to my play for this evening:

St. Johns

Let me profile you. Born and raised in queens or brooklyn went to parochial school and played some ball. Did I get it right? I to am a fan of the Redmen... but they fell on tough times with Jarvis. Was hoping Norm could pull the program out of the dumps, particularly recruiting locally. He is a classy guy, coached at Molloy where I went. All in all many of these players should model themselves after Mr. Sealy.

Nah Bronx - I grew up in Westchester, public school - but played a lot of ball, always a passion of mine. I played with the Gauchos and went to 5 star basketball camp so I was always around star high school players and always fascinated by it - love college ball. I actually was at 5star when Felipe Lopez was there, got to talk to him a little - he was the nicest guy. Marbury was a frosh in high school there too, already crowned a star, everyone a buzz about him - he knew it too.

Anyway, I like Norm - I think he's excellent. It's just hard to attract major talent outside of the boroughs when you don't have much of a campus, hard to compete w/ the big schools w/ country clubs. It's a shame there aren't more out there like Malik -
