Thursday Night 2nd Half Totals

YTD 69-61-1 (.531) and "Biggies" are 31-26-1 (.544)

Brutal 0-3-1 night Monday night for 4 straight losses after the 6 game win streak. Tonight I am fairly sure there will be a (rare these days) BIGGIE in the second half in Cleveland.....assuming their river doesn't catch on fire (again) and cause the game to be postponed.

I just wanted to open the thread early so I don't need to deal with doing so during the limited minutes of halftime. Back soon with either a pick or some comments about the ecological standards in the state of Ohio.......or maybe both !!

I never "take" these plays, but I do "follow" you/them..

It got just a LITTLE scary when Cleveland decided to start fouling prematurely, but the Knicks were obligingly terrible from the stripe. I will be watching the late game and will post as soon as I know whether or not there is a second half play.

Ok......

I've been watching the Dallas Portland game. Now NORMALLY with Dallas leading like they are I'd look for them to tighten up in the second half, play some D and protect the lead. But neither of these teams have a thing to play for so that leads me to think that we might see some scrubs in the second half and there might be a TOTAL lack of D.

But then again............

Avery Johnson seems VERY serious about keeping the Mavs disciplined these last games so by that logic we go back to the first scenario.

I can say this for sure. This will not be a "biggie."

The teams are not particularly running, but both teams are shooting well. I look for the second half scoring to be somewhere between 98 and 108 (yeah yeah....way to go out on a limb there Zapster....I can hear ya now).

Let's take a peek at the line and think it over.

Don't go nuts on this one, but for those of you degenerates who simply MUST make ONE MORE PLAY tonight, I think your chances are better with OVER than with UNDER.

I would prefer to play UNDER on games as I'm a winner UNTIL THEY MAKE ME A LOSER....I just don't feel good about this one enough to wager it

I know what you mean.....and if have been following my 2nd half plays I do play UNDER a lot more then OVER.

The SANE thing to do is to lay off this one......but who (I ask you). other than yourself is 1) up this late, 2) reading this forum and 3) in possession of this least shread of sanity ??

Also......I know what you mean about being a winner until you are a loser......but I also know (all too well) the feeling of utter depression watching teams stop playing D and watching layup after layup after 3 pointer in an out-of-reach game.

So......this is a play for those who simply can't deal with the fact that this is the ONLY play left today.

Again.....with OT and or late foulfest unlikely, my normal tendancy would be to play under on this one......but there really has been no outburst of speed in the first half and they still scored 107, so I look for them to approach that in the second half.
