What do you guys think??

Clemson:
Under is 7-1 in CLEM last 8 Thu. games
CLEM are 2-8 ATS vs. a team with a winning record
Under is 7-2 in CLEM last 9 conference games.

Georgia Tech:
Under is 15-5 in GATECH last 20 Thu. games
GATECH are 6-2-1 ATS in last 9 games on grass.
Under is 6-2 in GATECH last 8 conference games.

Head to Head:
Underdog is 12-2 ATS last 14 meetings
Road team is 7-3 ATS last 10 meetings

Georgia Tech:

PROS:
  • With both teams on a short week, Georgia Tech is at home and had more rest than Clemson which played a very late game.
  • Josh Nesbitt and GATECH triple option offense
  • GATECH return a lot of defensive players.
CONS:
  • Fumbled 5 times last week, creating 3 turnovers.
  • GATECH's D-Line is weak compared to CLEMSON's O-Line
Clemson

PROS:
  • Defense
  • Offensive Line is very experienced and better than GATECH's D-Line
  • CJ Spiller should play (had very explosive plays last week before being injured, including a 96 yd TD kickoff return.)
CONS:
  • The last few seasons CLEMSON has had fits with GATECH's defense.
  • CLEMSON needs to show that their QB can complete more than 9 of 21 passes
  • CJ Spiller might not be 100% after getting injured last week
Ok, well feel free to add to this so that we can all make a good pick here.

As a Clemson fan, I personally do not see our O-line as a strong point. Thomas Austin is solid as they come.. the rest of the line is not as experienced as many people seem to believe. Most of them played last year, but they were swapping positions left and right, and all through camp, there were some question marks. However, they are definitely improved over last year, and if they get consistent, Spiller and Harper can have great seasons.

As far as the offense last week, Parker was 9-20 in his opening game. But, he had 4 passes dropped, one that would have been a TD, and 2 others that would have extended drives.
Plus, the offense was as VANILLA as possible last week...well, because they could. They had some drives where they basically ran the same play over and over up the middle...it was more of testing some players, especially on the line.

Although GT does have a couple of very talented defenders, Clemson's defensive speed, talent, and intensity under new DC Kevin Steele is superior. If they stay disciplined, stay in their lanes, and keep containment, they will be able to handle this GT offense...not stop it, because stopping the triple option is near impossible.. but they will contain it.

Last week, Spiller returned the opening kickoff 96 yards for a TD, a punt 50 yards, and Jacoby Ford returned another punt for a TD. We have that advantage as well for special teams.....
This is why the under scares me.... you pop off a return or two, and if one team has a turnover that is returned for a TD, that over could hit quick.

I think Clemson wins this game, but if they don't, I see it as a 3-4 point game....take the 5 points, and cash it.

BOL!

Yea, I was looking at taking Clemson and the Over. Anyone else leaning towards anything one way or another?

Accuscore has Clemson +5 at 57.8%

Over at 42.5 is 56.9%

Line has moved back and forth at 5Dimes between 4.5 to 5.5

Bodog has the line at 5.5 (sharp book)

Too much contradiction here for me to call...not a play!

I like GT by at least two touchdowns. In front of the home crowd and I feel more all around talent...GL
