DAYJUR HOOQ has a quite good shot to take this race. Will almost certainly compete well in the early pace battle which bodes well with this group of animals. Could best this field based on the speed rating - 66 - of his last race. Is difficult not to consider based on Equibase Speed Figs which have been quite good - 67 avg - of late. SIGNIFICAT - Has decent early speed and will most likely fare quite well against this field. This pony is highly ranked this group in earnings per start at the distance/surface. HERE COMES THE SUN - Must be carefully examined given the class of races run lately. Players should probably feel comfortable with this selection given Gonzalez's recent profits at the window.

STARSHIP SHAWTY - In this race here, this horse has clearly shown signs that she likes the grass. Her speed figures are the highest in the field for this dist-surf. Faced tougher last time around the track at Gulfstream. Based on class ratings, this is a weaker bunch, so I will put this horse on my list of strong contenders. A thoroughbred coming back this quickly after a nice effort is a good omen. The outside post position didn't help this horse's chances last time around the track at Gulfstream. Today's inside post position should be just fine. SHY'S ALY - Rounding her way back into form. Each of her finish positions is getting better in her recent starts. After the contest aboard this animal on Aug 7th, the rider is going to know the filly much better. Trainer Minott moves this animal down the class ladder to face a lower class field. Look for a sharp performance this time out. Had a strong closing move last time around the track, running the last quarter in less than 25 seconds. A similar race today, and it's straight to the winner's circle. This filly has the top turf figure in her last race. It doesn't take a college grad like The Brain to figure this here horse has a good chance.

SO ROYAL - Tough to put your money on this oft beaten public's choice. Not much value. Going to have a difficult go of it with all of the other early foot in this race. SPECTACULAR ME - This filly notched a speed rating in her last race which probably isn't good enough today. FEELINGBETTERTODAY - The sixth place finish last time around the track coming after the extended layoff is unquestionably not a positive omen. This animal hasn't been in the mix in either of her last couple of outings.

KING GETTIGAN - I think that a sprinter coming off a layoff will usually run his best in the 3rd or 4th start back. I just may give this one a chance. Should improve off last race where he did run out of the money, but was within 5 lengths at the end. OKEY DOKEY SMOKEY - Ortiz comes to ride after getting to know the colt in the last affair. I like to play horses that faced open company in their last race and drop into state bred races. This colt fits the bill. Based on this colt's recent efforts, he should profit from this race's shorter trip.

HAMPDEN FIVEONE - This favorite hasn't been to the track in awhile. No drills since last race. HARDWIRED - 5/1 is just not enough of a price to take on this entrant. FREDDIE FREUD - No good fortune for this mount in a sprint contest over the last couple months tells me that this gelding is in a difficult spot pedestrian speed rating in the last race at Aqueduct at 5 1/2 furlongs. Don't think this pony will improve too much in today's event.

For you folks who enjoy a little Thoroughbred Racing History to accompany your handicapping efforts today ... written for 2-year-olds on the turf, the With Anticipation was inaugurated in 2005 and named in honor of the gelding who won five Grade 1 races and more than $2.6 million for Hall of Fame trainer Jonathan Sheppard. A gray son of Relaunch owned by George Strawbridge, With Anticipation made his first start as a 2-year-old in 1997, but didn't hit his best stride until 2001, when he began campaigning primarily on the grass. The following year, at age 7, he won three straight Grade 1 events, the United Nations Handicap, his second straight Sword Dancer Invitational, and his second straight Man o' War. He was retired in 2004. Seems to have a respectable class advantage based on the standardbreds he has faced. That 63 TrackMaster Speed Rating clocked in the most recent outing puts this race horse in the mix this time. MS NEUTRALIZE - Cannot put a finger on it, but favor this mare for a play. THEBEASTFROMTHEAST - May be the best in the field of horses here, showing nice stats of late. Average speed is a solid 71. It's often dangerous to consider based only on class, but this mare has among the most favorable class rankings of the group of animals.

(4) ANYTIMEANYWHERE qualified like a winner and that might be enough to earn a star in here. (8) THAT WAS YOU faces weak bunch but has to overcome the post. (9) ANASTASIA WIGGLED is a lightly raced miss who has to get away well from the second tier to have a chance.

Race 2

(4) RENATA has tasted victory recently and has flashed late speed in most of last few races. (3) BUCKSHOT EXPRESS made a costly break in last but at 70-1 what was he going to do anyway? (2) MJ CRUISER has post edge on most rivals but winning is not his forte.

Race 3

(3) FRIDAYSCOMIN won last and faces similar. (2) MOMS LOOKER has been close last few but needs some late energy to nail that win. (4) S MS TERMINATOR was up the track on Monday but his best can get him close in here.

Race 4

(1) RELLA ON ATTACK draws the rail and has no excuse tonight. (9) SOUTH PARK KID will have to clear early traffic but was bet fairly well in last and had a touch of late speed.(2) KING ME had nothing to offer on Monday but from the inside he can get involved early.

(3) BUSTED FLAT rallied strongly to nail last, faces same and gets the nod. (2) FERRISWHEEL JUNKIE has been trying to get it done last four races and can argue through the lane. (5) STURDYS BABY was game enough to earn wins two and three back but broke in latest.

Race 6

(6) TIMER was a wire to wire winner two back and did the same in late July. (3) TUSCARORA BLUEROAN drops seeking a paycheck and despite a long win drought he has to be considered in here on the drop alone. (5) STIRLING ADONIS was tightened in last after a qualifier win two back. Lightly raced last two seasons, this one has yet to win a pari-mutuel race.

(5) DIGGERS REST N gets a slight break in post position and a big break in company facing weak field of vets. (4) GOODNITE WILBUR had a flash of late pace in latest. (8) SPARE TIME GINO was parked long last two and has to find a place on the rail early. Despite the post this field is begging for a winner to show himself.

Race 8

(9) SOAKING UP THE SUN has late speed but has to clear the second tier. Once he gets involved he has enough to nail a win. (8) VODKAINDUCEDDREAMS is hard to fault off any of recent tries and has speed to clear to the lead even from post eight. (3) ROYAL STYLE has shown marked improvement last two.

Race 9

(6) MISS RILEY seeks third straight and faces same kind. (9) A PRINCES TALE was funky gaited early and lost a ton of ground. Late rush is hard to ignore. (7) CLASSICAL LOVE failed to fire in last but closed with trot three prior.

Race 10

(3) BLINDSIDED showed speed two back, late rally in latest. Twice beaten favorite has no excuses left. (2) SHOCKBYELECTRIC rallied off a ground saving trip in latest and from post two he should be ideally placed in the late stages once more. (1) ROYAL ONE has the rail and will argue early.

Race 11

(6) MYSTICAL SAM took some time off, qualified well two back and had late speed in last. Should be improving more for this one. (2) JAY JAY REDSKY won last on the front end. (5) TORY has been close and competitive in all but one of last six tries.

Race 12

(1) HARLEYHANKNJERRY had traffic in last and cost him his best chance. (3) UNLIMITED WINNER has been an unlimited second best in all recent. (4) IMALLEXCITED races second time in career. This 2YO was tightened in last and could be ready to graduate.

Race 13

(2) IM SO BLUE won last out of town and comes back trying to extend his new found talent. Vet faced much better when here through June. (4) FREDSABULLDOG should threaten from this spot. (1) R I P SPANKY will welcome the pole position.

Race 14

(4) GOLDEN SLIPPER was nailed in the shadow of the wire going down the road in last. Give her another shot. (3) CINCARDLE came up short this level in last but has faced better most recent. (1) CC DREAMER faded in her qualifier. Should show some life from the rail against this kind.

Race 15

(3) KING RICHARD needs just a touch of the famous lion heart to win this this.(4) WORRIES STAY SMALL takes a modest drop after weakening late in front end effort last time. (5) WATTAFINERUSTY showed improvement in last and faces slightly weaker.

Race 1

(4) MISS DOLLAR MAM draws well, has posted seven wins from 16 starts this season and was a winner last week in this class. (6) POLK DOT HANOVER comes from the Menary barn and will offer a short price. She's due for a big effort and races at this class once again. (5) FORGIVEN has hit the board in each of her last two, including a win. She enters this circuit and has some upside at a price.

Race 2

(4) NUMBERS GAME draws well, comes from the Baillargeon barn and is coming into this dash in top form. (1) LOVE HUNTER draws the rail, qualified sharply on Aug. 22 and could be sitting on a big effort. (6) DELCREST MASSY comes from the Vic Puddy barn, gets Jamieson in the bike and is a good price play.

Race 3

(3) SPIRIT TO WIN has been exceptional this season for trainer Dustin Jones and once again will gain a lot of respect. (8) SPEAK TO ME is the other obvious choice. She comes from the Takter barn, gets Gingras in the bike and has a 4-2-0 record from six starts. (4) STUBBORN BELLE comes from the Bax barn and is a logical option for the triactor based on her recent efforts.

Race 4

(8) JUSTABIT MEAN has been knocking on the door all season and is due for a win. She raced in the Gold just two back and gets class relief. (4) J HIGH has a quick closing kick and gets Gingras in the bike. (5) ARTISTIC FUSION was a winner last week, draws well and has been much better as of late.

Race 5

(4) BODY TALK certainly has the speed, comes from the Zeron barn and is due for her first win of the season. She's very likable in this field. (6) RAGAZZI DOLCE has finished second in each of his last two starts in this class. (7) AGGRESSIVE drops out of the Gold Series and into a much more suitable level. He has the speed and has been racing very consistent as of late.

Race 6

(5) LOCK DOWN LINDY hasn't missed the board in four career starts, including two wins and has third in the Merrie Annabelle. (6) DANIELLE HALL has won four of five career starts, comes from the Jamieson camp and is capable of facing Grand Circuit foes. (7) SMEXI has hit the board in four of her last five starts, comes from the Takter barn and is an obvious choice for the triactor.

Race 7

(6) PALM BEACH HANOVER draws in the middle of the gate on this occasion. She's been knocking on the door as of late and is due for a win. (3) SHES DANGEROUS draws inside, has won two of her last three and comes from the Alagna barn.(10) PAID IN CASH has yet to miss the board in five appearances and Umphrey's barn has been terrific this season.

Race 8

(7) PROPULSION is fresh off a winning qualifier with a :27 2/5 final quarter. He has the speed and will be the likely favourite. (3) BLOCKING THE WAY was a winner last week, draws inside and comes from the Antonacci barn. (4) MAXIMUS DEO appears ready for his first career start. He comes from top connections and draws well.

Race 9

(1) JOLENE JOLENE gets the rail, was a convincing winner last week and finished second in the Merrie Annabelle. (6) JUANITAS FURY has won three of five career starts, comes from the Bax barn and appears ready for this Grand Circuit contest. (2) DYNAMITE DAME draws inside, is fresh off a win for trainer Norman and has been racing very consistent in each of her four career starts.

Race 10

(7) P L IDAHO was terrific two back before self destructing last week. The youngster was over-pacing himself and faltered. I'll back him again and hope for a cleaner trip. (5) MITT JAGGER is your likely favourite, but had to settle for second last week. He comes from the Young barn and shows quick speed. (6) MIGRATE BLUE CHIP has hit the board in each of his last two starts, is versatile and will offer a low price once again.

Race 11

(6) LIFE IS A BEACH finished a game third last week in the debut on lasix. I'll back her again and hope for a better effort. (8) D G NICKABOCKER has a good record this season and closed very well last week from eighth-to-second. (7) ANGEL LAND comes from the Fellows barn and should offer a price. She has the speed and will need a trip.

(3) AMERICASGOTTALENT draws much better. Four-year-old can make tonight a winning one against a weak group. (7) LLC DELIGHT could be right in the mix. (1) ROCK ME PLEASE should fare well from the fence.

Race 2

(1) HASTY PROFFITT has fine speed and retains the rail slot. Threat at best. (6) ANTHONYSKYWALKER was second best in his latest try. (5) CARNEGIE moves down a bit in class.

Race 3

(7) NUTMEGS DESIRE was sent down the road for all the glory last time out. Pacing miss is sharp enough, could top these for her second straight victory. (3) YOU LITTLE RASCAL showed signs of life in her most recent outing; big player. (8) ALGEBRA is not out of this despite the move to the 8-hole.

Race 4

(4) WATTAQUEEN Her last trip was not that bad given she had an outside journey; all systems go tonight. (3) I KNOW NOTHING Tough break in her latest but could rebound in here. (6) MCNICKELS MCDIMES could land a share of the purse.

Race 5

(4) FLASHBACK is back at Yonkers where this trotter has done his best racing. With the right trip, he can get the job done. (2) TROTTIN TROY put in an even finish from the eight slot last time out. (3) COCOTIER Pocono invader has good speed; watch out.

Race 6

(1) STRUNG OUT stays on the fence plus Brennan retains the drive; worth a closer look. (4) KING OTRA has put in two sharp efforts and appears to be the main threat. (6) DRIVE EM COWBOY was sharp in his last trip; don't overlook.

Race 7

Will try (8) ORR HANOVER to mow these down in the final stretch drive. (3) GREYSTONE CASH & (1) LADYS BAG MAN both of these pacers get post relief.

Race 8

(4) ROCK N SOUL is knocking at the door. Pacing miss can put her best foot forward against these. (2) BIJOU THEATER raced evenly in her latest. (3) STORMUNN might be in the mix; contender.

Race 9

(6) LATE NITE FLIGHT put in a nice run last out. Pacer is seeking his first score of the year, maybe tonight is the night. (2) ELECTRIC CRUISER gets the best of the draw; big threat. (5) WAYWARD SON has fine speed and is not out of this by far.

Race 10

(4) FLYING MOCHA Sharp in victory in her latest. Pacing miss is in decent form and a repeat effort in not out of the question. (6) I DO IT MYSELF has done nothing wrong of late and figures to be the one to fear. (1) MACH THIS WAY has be right there from the fence.

Race 11

(3) BREW MASTER leaves post 8 and is very capable of getting the job done tonight. (6) SIMAZ closed well last time around to grab the place spot. (4) MAMA MADE ME BLUE could have a say.

Race 12

Will take a shot with (5) THISTHATNTHEOTHER to get back to her winning ways with a fine-timed drive from Holland. (4) DELICIOUSLYNAUGHTY was nailed for win honors last time out. (3) CANT STOP ME NOW could make some noise in the stretch drive.
