KEY STAT: Both teams have scored in five of Tottenham’s seven away games this season

EXPERT VERDICT: Tottenham won the reverse fixture 5-1 and should be good enough to collect another three points but their defence has been a weakness throughout the season so Spurs may not have things all their own way. Ace keeper Hugo Lloris is suspended and Asteras have scored in 13 of their 14 matches this season.

RECOMMENDATION: Both teams to score

KEY STAT: Lille have won one of their last ten matches

EXPERT VERDICT: Even by the powder-puff standards of Ligue 1, Lille have been lacking attacking punch in recent months, scoring only four goals in their last nine matches. Everton were comfortable enough in the goalless draw two weeks ago and should win, while also making it four clean sheets in five fixtures.

RECOMMENDATION: Everton 2-0

KEY STAT: St Etienne have only lost one of their last 20 home matches

EXPERT VERDICT: St Etienne have played out three goalless draws in the Europa League group stages but they have two home games left and can pick up their first win against Inter. Walter Mazzarri is under pressure after a 2-0 defeat to struggling Parma on Saturday and his side haven’t scored in open play for four matches.

RECOMMENDATION: St Etienne 1-0

KEY STAT: John Guidetti has scored six goals in his last four appearances

EXPERT VERDICT: Astra beat Ceahlaul last time out but they had been in shocking form prior to that success and even then the Romanians conceded to opponents who are struggling in Liga 1. Celtic can definitely cause problems for the hosts and both teams to score first is best.

RECOMMENDATION: Both teams to score

KEY STAT: Seville have won 12 of their last 14 home games

EXPERT VERDICT: The departure of Guy Luzon has inspired an upturn in form for Standard Liege, who have won three and conceded none since a holding Seville to a goalless draw in Belgium. However, the holders are a class above above the visitors and should be motivated with the group delicately poised.

RECOMMENDATION: Seville 2-0

KEY STAT: Napoli have scored 16 goals in their last five home matches

EXPERT VERDICT: Young Boys beat Napoli 2-0 in Berne but the Swiss side have lost four of their last five away matches and Rafa Benitez’s men are expected to reverse the result on matchday four. Confidence will be high after a 2-0 win against Roma and the Italians are scoring goals for fun.

RECOMMENDATION: Napoli-Napoli double result

# 1 WARNERS SPEEDY ART 15/1

# 3 STRAIGHT DANCER 9/2

# 9 PARADISE STATION 3/1

Feel pretty confident putting mucho dinero down on WARNERS SPEEDY ART may be overlooked at 15/1 on the line. This race could be controlled by this horse. A single look at the avgerage speed figure will prove that. Should compete soundly in this outing as his style of running fits well in this pack. Good for a win bet just off the amazing prior class figures. Have to like this interesting entrant. STRAIGHT DANCER - This entrant recorded a respectable speed figure last out. Looks to be in top form to come right back. This trainer, and the driver Sutton, go together like hot dogs and buns. Their results together are outstanding. PARADISE STATION - Has the makings of a profitable play, averaging a rather good 79 TrackMaster Speed Rating. Been running with some tougher customers of late, has a distinct class advantage. (Average Rating 84).

# 6 EQUITY 9/2

# 7 CAN I SAY 8/5

# 1 THUNDERING OVATION 10/1

Hey, listen up! EQUITY is the wise bet if you like to win. Sometimes you just have to go with good vibrations, love this one's chances. CAN I SAY - She has been competing admirably and the speed figures are among the most respectable in the field of starters. Could dominate this field, just look at the TrackMaster SR - 95 - from her last event. THUNDERING OVATION - Hands down the best hole at Flamboro Downs is the 1. The win rate is great. Has great TrackMaster Speed Ratings and surely has to be thought of for a play in this event.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

The Walker Group Picks

# 3 SMART AND SENSIBLE 5/2

# 9 O. MIZZTERIO 6/1

# 8 IM CHARMING 20/1

SMART AND SENSIBLE looks very good to best this field. With a reliable 70 average Equibase speed fig at the distance, seems well suited for today's contest. Could beat this group of animals given the 70 Equibase Speed Fig garnered in his last outing. O. MIZZTERIO - Trainer boasts strong win figs at this distance and surface.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

The Walker Group Picks

# 5 MARGARET OWNZIT 3/1

# 2 MARIA'S SONG 5/2

# 6 MORE THAN CRAFTY 8/1

I think MARGARET OWNZIT is a very good choice. Has strong speed figs and has to be considered for a wager in here. Recorded a strong Equibase speed fig in the latest race. Can run another good one in this affair. Has been travelling in the most competitive company of the group of animals as of late. MARIA'S SONG - Is a solid contender based on figs recorded recently under today's conditions. This filly is coming right back to race. MORE THAN CRAFTY - Has to be given consideration - I like the figs from the last affair. A solid 75 avg Equibase class rating may give this mare a distinct class edge versus this field.

Hawthorne - Race #4 - Post: 3:15pm - Claiming - 6.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $9,500 Class Rating: 76

Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

#7 ROOLYNN RULER (ML=7/2)
#3 STANLEY'S FRIEND (ML=5/2)
#6 C F'S RULER (ML=6/1)

ROOLYNN RULER - Have to make this gelding a contender; he comes off a strong effort on Oct 17th. This is a classic 'Lone Front-runner' scenario. If Thornton gets him out of the gate cleanly it'll likely be smooth sailing. Last race out at Hawthorne this animal finished ahead of today's M/L choice. Potential play if the public follows the morning line odds. STANLEY'S FRIEND - Have to give this gelding a fair chance. Ran a sharp race last time out within the last month. I like this gelding. Has the top earnings per start in here today. C F'S RULER - This jockey and conditioner's animals have been producing a beneficial return on investment. This gelding should find these state breds easier than what he faced in his last contest on Oct 10th.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 TIMDANDY (ML=4/1), #4 MORE HONEY (ML=6/1), #5 QUINDINI (ML=8/1),

TIMDANDY - This come from behinder will probably be coming much too late to make an impression in this event. Will be hard for this entrant to beat this group off of that last speed figure. Improbable to improve enough to run a figure close to today's class rating, so put him on the questionable contenders list. MORE HONEY - Would have to advance off that sixth place finish last time to make an impact here. QUINDINI - He showed not much at all in the last event. No good results for this vulnerable equine in a sprint race over the last two months tells me that this gelding is in a formidable spot Don't feel this mount will make an impact in today's race. That last speed figure was most unsatisfactory when compared with today's class rating.

Charles Town - Race #3 - Post: 7:59pm - Maiden Claiming - 4.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $14,000 Class Rating: 44

Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

#4 GAME MAKER (ML=5/2)
#6 ROMANTIKUS (ML=3/1)

GAME MAKER - The last time he tried this distance he got a fig good enough to win this event. Looking at today's class figure, this campaigner is up against an easier field than last time out at Charles Town. This gelding's last rating notched on Oct 15th is at the top in last race speed figs. ROMANTIKUS - Maldonado and Coram partnered with one another are a railbird's friend. Another way to assign class is earnings per start. This racer has the highest in the field. I think he'll be close at the finish.

Vulnerable Contenders: #8 SHILOH IS COMING (ML=9/2), #9 TUCAN TANGO (ML=5/1), #1 BOSSY'S PRIZED (ML=8/1),

SHILOH IS COMING - Today's race is 4 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't finished in the money in a short distance event in the last two months. Not the best of indicators. This gelding hasn't been showing me anything positive in the last two races. TUCAN TANGO - Doesn't appear to be worth 5/1 this time around. Pass on him this time. BOSSY'S PRIZED - Most unsatisfactory fig last out at Charles Town at 4 1/2 furlongs. Don't believe this questionable contender will improve too much in today's race.

Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - GAME MAKER - I scan the TrackMaster Platinum PPs for this type of horse. Has the top TM Power Rating by at least 5 points.

Bet on #4 GAME MAKER to win if you can get at least 7/5 odds

6.0 FURLONGS DIRT FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT $55,000.00 PURSE

#9 SOUTHERN SUNSHINE
#5 STONELY HEART
#11 ROSE QUARTZ
#2 BOSSY BOOTS

#9 SOUTHERN SUNSHINE is the overall speed leader in this maiden field sprinting at 6.0 furlongs on the dirt, drops in class (-3), and has hit the board in four of her last five outings, including back-to-back-to-back "POWER RUN BOARD HITS" in her last three starts. #5 STONELY HEART comes off a "POWER RUN PLACE" finish in her "first asking," missing her "diploma" in that race by less than a length.

DRF HARNESS

Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: ROBERT HILL (7th)

Spot Play: WOODMERE TRULYBLUE (4th)

Race 1

(2) THERESADEMONINME draws inside for trainer Brethour and qualified very well over a track listed as good. (5) EVOLUTION OF DANCE comes from the Henriksen barn, draws well and has been racing very well as of late. He moves onto this circuit and is capable with her connections and speed. (6) WINDSUN COBRA comes from the Baillargeon barn and is a price option.

Race 2

(3) MAXI POWERS draws inside and will make just his fourth start of his career. He comes from the Fellows barn and may offer a fair price. (2) READ THE PROPOSAL draws inside and finished a game third last week. He also gets MacDonald back in the bike. (4) NATURSCAPE comes from the McNair barn, is versatile and is a good price option for the triactor.

Race 3

(7) ONE DIRECTION is a perfect two-for-two since entering the Jones barn and looks like the colt to beat in this rich final. (3) IRISH SCOTCH comes from the Lindsey barn, draws inside and went gate-to-wire last week. He also gets Jamieson, which will influence his price. (4) MUSCLES ALL OVER has excellent gate-speed and has been much better in each of his last two.

Race 4

(5) WOODMERE TRULYBLUE comes from the Johnson barn and has been knocking on the door in each of her last two. (10) DEBBIES MACH finished a game second last week at 18-1 and will need to overcome post 10. This is a wide-open tilt and she has some upside. (3) PLAY GROUND shows the speed and will need a trip. She gets MacDonald in the bike and will provide a price.

Race 5

(1) GIRL DRAMA draws inside and was a winner last week at this level. (3) INDIAN LAKE self destructed last week and will look to rebound. He's been a threat in this class as of late for Henry. (4) HOLY MOLIE MAGGIE doesn't like to win, but is an obvious candidate for the exactor and triactor with her record at this level.

Race 6

(3) I C D MOOLAH draws inside and hasn't missed the board in each of his last six starts in this class. (6) VITAL SIGN is another logical option with his on-the-board record as of late and was a winner last week in this class. (5) ELECTRIFY disappointed last week in this class at a low price and will look for a bounce back effort.

Race 7

(2) ROBERT HILL has won each of his last three including the two preliminary legs. (3) SUGARSAM also won both preliminary legs and comes from the Johnson barn. (8) LANCASTER PARK comes from the O'Sullivan barn and was a game second last week. He's a good option for the triactor and raced in the Governors Cup final two back.

Race 8

(6) WEST COAST ROCKER was a winner last week in this class and has been more consistent since entering into this level three back. (8) CHARLIES A FLYIN has hit the board in two of his last three in this class and gets MacDonald in the bike. (1) PLANS OVER draws the rail, comes from the Puddy barn and closed very well last week to finish second at a price.

Race 9

(5) MIKES POWERHOUSE is due for his second career win. He comes from the Coleman barn, gets major post relief and has been knocking on the door. (4) VANCE BAYAMA romped last week by over four lengths at 7-1. He'll aim for a repeat effort. (3) NO SERIOUS MATTER draws well and can't be overlooked in here. He doesn't have a good win record, but is a logical option for the triactor.

Race 10

(5) BIG SURF has posted back-to-back wins and comes from the Moreau barn. (6) DECISIVE DESTINY has hit the board in two of his last three starts and drops into this claiming level. He's a big player in this race with the class relief. (3) USEFUL HANOVER draws much better this week, shows the speed and will offer a price.

Race 11

(2) INCOGNITO draws inside and was a winner last week at this level. (6) DOCS HOSS drops back down in class and has been a consistent threat all season while racing at this level. (8) SHOW TOPPER comes from the Riley barn, is versatile and gets Waples aboard. He has the speed, but appears trip-oriented.

Dover: Matron Stakes Analysis for Thursday 11/6
By Derick Giwner

DRF HARNESS

Race 1 - $203,800 Matron—2YO Filly Trot

(7) WILD HONEY was originally going to be a bet against for me, but then I noticed she isn’t eligible to the Breeders Crown. That means despite four weeks of action, I have to assume she is primed and ready for what could be her last race of the year. (2) BRIGHT BABY BLUES showed two starts back that she can trot with these and the price will be right. (3) SMEXI upset at 78-1 in the rich Goldsmith Maid. For me, she is a bet against until I see more consistency.

Race 2 - $237,500 Matron—2YO Colt & Gelding Trot

(4) CRUZADO DELA NOCHE has quietly exhibited some ability and loved being on the lead in Lexington last time. He’ll be overlooked in the wagering and doesn’t seem far behind this group right now. (2) MUSCLE DIAMOND has displayed plenty of talent and only needs a smooth trip to score an upset. (6) HABITAT saw his win streak end in the Valley Victory; clear player. (5) UNCLE LASSE races well virtually every start.

Race 6 - $199,600 Matron—2YO Filly Pace

(3) BETTOR BE STEPPIN was starting every week and facing some top competition along the way. Now she has been freshened up and gets a post edge on the most likely winners. (8) SASSA HANOVER has won 8-of-10 starts to begin her career. She is the clear filly to beat but is hampered by the outside post. (7) SOUTHWIND ROULETTE seems to have lost a bit of the form she had at the end of the summer, but the talent is there. (1) IDEAL NUGGETS has only missed the board once in 12 career starts.

Race 7 - $193,200 Matron—2YO Colt & Gelding Pace

(3) IN THE ARSENAL is the “now” horse in the division. The son of American Ideal has serious potential and deserves the call each week until he shows signs of weakness. (1) TOMY TERROR has finished at least second in each of his 10 career starts. I have to expect aggressive handling from the inside post. (2) CARTOON DADDY lured driver Yannick Gingras off (6) YANKEE BOUNTY, who has only lost once in nine starts. That should tell you something.

Race 8 - $160,950 Matron—3YO Filly Trot

(5) SHAKE IT CERRY was simply amazing in her win at Hoosier last week. She sprinted home from a tough spot and bested another top filly. I’m not sure this gal is beatable right now. (2) CEE BEE YES gets a nice post shift this week and should be sitting on or just off the lead. (3) LIFETIME PURSUIT hasn’t put in many bad races this year and is an obvious threat.

Race 10 - $200,350 Matron—3YO Colt & Gelding Trot

(1) FATHER PATRICK hasn’t done very well tracking horses lately and I’m guessing he’ll be placed on the engine this week. He outdraws main rival Nuncio and should use that to his advantage. (5) DATSYUK is in a good spot to leave hard and sit a good trip at a big price. (8) NUNCIO would probably be considered the one to beat from a better post; very dangerous.

Race 11 - $186,550 Matron—3YO Colt & Gelding Pace

(1) ALL BETS OFF has been one of the best sophomore pacing colts this year but seems to go under the radar. He outdraws his rivals tonight and will be sitting no worse than a pocket trip. (3) MCWICKED was flat as a pancake in the Messenger last time. I’m going to ignore that race and expect improvement. (2) LUCK BE WITHYOU couldn’t stay with All Bets Off last time but has the ability.

Race 12 - $179,200 Matron—3YO Filly Pace

(3) ACT NOW has turned the corner in a big way lately. She may be too sharp to beat right now. (5) WEEPER is one of the more frustrating fillies I have picked lately. When are they going to turn her loose on the lead? (1) FANCY DESIRE isn’t as good as she was earlier in the year but can still get a good piece of the exotics.

MEET STATS: 331 - 1249 / $2,187.70 BEST BETS: 26 - 104 / $128.80

Best Bet: RD IOU (10th)

Spot Play: TREVORS BEBE (4th)

Race 1

(2) CAMPHOR HANOVER is clearly knocking at the winner's circle door; threat at her best. (4) YOUNG AMERICAN closed strongly for win honors last time out. (1) IF I DIDNT CARE retains the rail; watch out.

Race 2

(1) I KNOW NOTHING Pacing mare's qualifier was quite good to get back on the winning track. (2) PERFECTLY ROYAL took the loose pocket route home to victory in her recent trip. (3) ZINDERELLA is not out of this.

Race 3

(2) KJS FOXY LADY Saratoga invader has hit the board in her last five tries; all systems go. (6) PASSION R VIRGINIE closed well in her latest; main danger. (3) LITTLE MERMAID N just got up for the placing last out.

Race 4

(2) TREVORS BEBE gets serious post relief and that should help her cause against these; the pick. (1) PURE VIDA has fine speed and has the rail slot; threat. (4) CHEYENNE MIRAM fits well in here so watch out.

Race 5

(8) JOLLY JUBITER has good speed and this pacer can take this with a perfect trip. (6) KID CRUISER drops a notch in class; major player. (4) AMERICASGOTTALENT could have a say in the outcome.

Race 6

(3) HURTIN ALBERTAN could mow these down with a complete meltdown of the early leaders. (7) DEEP SEA HANOVER has flashed speed in his recent trip to the post. (1) MILITARY STRATCOM should fare quite well from the rail.

Race 7

(4) LITTLE MISS HENRY rallied strongly for the show spot last time around. Pacing miss can boss these with a fine-timed drive from Stratton. (1) SCOOTS WEST was second best last time out and the rail can help her chances. (8) SEA CRUISE HANOVER moves down the ladder; watch out.

Race 8

(4) JW RACER raced evenly in his last one and if he could go back to two starts ago, it could be game over for the rest of these. (6) WAYWARD SON Sharp pacer will be a solid factor in here. (1) RED BUGLER took the pocket-rocket route home last out for all the glory.

Race 9

(3) BABES CHIP gets post relief and has fine speed. Pacing mare can get it done tonight. (5) SIR LEHIGH Z TAM closed well for the show spot last time out. (4) ROYAL KNOCKOUT just missed the victory in her most recent outing.

Race 10

(6) RD IOU She has been very sharp in her last two trips to the post; ready to roll. (8) FOX VALLEY HERMIA closed well to grab the place spot last time out. (3) MACH THIS WAY could contend with these.

Race 11

(3) GROUNDED Upstate invader got the job done in her last try. Two in a row is not out the question. (2) ALHAMBRA She has been good in her last three starts; main danger. (1) LEAVEUMLADY Qualifier at Philly was sharp; don't overlook.

Race 12

(4) SPRINGHOUSE STAR moves out of the 8-hole and this pacing mare could take this if she gets a perfect trip. (6) CANACO STAR showed some speed in her last try; second best. (3) GIVEITTOEMSTAIGHT could have a say with this group.
