HEY DOC,
This is my first time posting on the site. I have followed you for short time, and I like the way you do things.
I was in the bahamas his past weekend, and I met an interesting guy who claimed to run numbers in Philly. Anyways, he pointed out something to me, and I wanted your opinion on it.
He said that whenever the line is between 4.5-6.5, and especially when it is at 5 or 5.5,
ALWAYS TAKE THE UNDERDOG!!
His reasoning was that the oddsmakers think the favorite is better than a field goal, but defintely not as much as a touchdown. He sees that line as the oddsmaker's inability to handicapp the game correctly. He also, boldly stated that this number covers over 80% of thge time for the underdog.
I remembered wat he told me, and I hit three games in college last week. NAVY, CLEMSON, GA TECH.
I realize that this may have been a coincidence, but I would like to know what you think about this.
By the way, I like Clemson and Air Force tonight as well
