The NFL is getting it's due. The league is so smug with it's Thursday Night games and sending teams to London. If your a bettor you don't care. You wouldn't mind if there were NFL games on seven nights a week. The general public is getting an inferior product. It's done out of pure greed. Not one head coach would tell you that Thursday Night games are a good thing. The players are only going along with it because they want bigger paychecks. Most fans who didn't have a bet on the game turned it off at halftime. The NFL is going to run it's product into the ground. Not now but, 15 or 20 years down the road. Your going to see the skill position athletes choose basketball and baseball to play. Guaranteed contracts and little chance of brain and other debilitating injuries.

CBS has to be thrilled that the three biggest blowout in TNF history have been the last three weeks. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter said Boomer Esiason growled "Thursday Night football" during halftime last night. Visiting teams are at a real disadvantage on short weeks.

Maybe it might have had something to do with the fact that Green Bay with Rogers at home is a much better team then the Vikings on the road with a college QB.
Maybe Atlanta at home was a much better team then Tampa with a banged up DLINE.

The NFL has never cared about its fans, the only way to stop this is stop watching, going to games, buying jerseys, etc. They are betting you wont

That might be the case but there is a trend of blowouts and bad games on TNF going back the last couple of years.

NFL over the past 5-7 years has declined, for me at least. Games just aren't as good anymore. The commericals after the TD, then a commerical after the kick off. It's so ridiculous. And yet every Sunday I watch and watch and watch.

This already is the case and it has been for the 30 years I have followed sports. Football is always the last resort for top athletes who excel in more then one sport. Only time they chose football is when they are much better at football or a much bigger NFL prospect then they are in the other sport they play.

5 years ago, I wouldn't have planned on going golfing on a Sunday afternoon, but tomorrow I've got a teetime at noon.

Exactly my thoughts.

For the most part they are absolutely correct. No way NFL gives up Thursday games. They are a huge moneymaker in a variety if ways. People forget they single handedly put the NFL Network on the map. Remember for a time the Thursday game was on the hard to find NFL network only. They intentionally gave us GREAT MATCHUPS, nothing like the shit they put on now, and people without the NFL network would bitch like crazy at their cable providers. The thurs night game was the catalyst to getting the NFL network in virtually all the households in US

I 100% believe you but you know you are the exception
