Gold Cup has had a recent history of some unbelievable upsets in the most ridiculous manner. Canada won the thing not that many years ago, that should tell you something. How about that goal by Colombia, a totally overmatched team, to beat Mexico? Was that not the most ridiculous thing you have ever seen in an international match that is supposed to mean something?
For that reason alone I wouldn't get too excited about laying a big price. The US has a pretty decent team out there, maybe the best Bruce Arena has brought in 3 or 4 Gold Cup's. He got the "play the lesser guys" out of his system in game one, where they almost didn't beat Cuba, and in game three where they didn't need a result against CR. The two games he put out the professional 11 they have been far the superior team. Jamaica put in a fairly good squad and the US ran around them. If that same team shows up against a lesser Honduras team this should be an early and quick rout. Just the history of the tournament and the fact that it still isn't close to the best team the US could field should make you cautious. Laying -1/-1.5 goals at Pinnacle isn't that bad a bet, but wouldn't go overboard with it. I think Honduras was playing over their heads to beat CR and it likely catches up to them.
