Thoughts on TNF?

The line is -7 Bengals on both of my sportsbooks. This is a tough game to bet as the line seems pretty fair and both teams are really close in their division. On top of all that it's TNF so I expect it to be a good game. I don't really follow either team and usually just try not to bet either of them since I don't know a ton about them. Need some help here, having a great season so far.

Bengals or Browns, why/why not? GL fellas.

Expect a good game for Thursday night?
Besides the NYJ/NE, there really hasn't been any this year.

I looked at the total too, then I heard about the weather. Supposed to be 60% chance of rain thru the whole game, temperatures in the low to mid 40's and 15-20mph winds....but I played baseball and lived in the Cincinnati area and I know from experience that the weather can change fairly quick along the river. I wanted to play the over because of the short rest and the lack of preparation for both defenses, but I'm gonna shy away because of the possible rough weather. Good luck to whatever decision you make

Short week shouldn't hurt these two teams much since they are really familiar with each other already. Cleveland's run defense is really suspect so I'm thinking cincy will try to pound it out on them. 7 points is a lot, especially in a division matchup.

i tend to agree. cleveland has played everyone close almost all season. just went thru the easiest part of their schedule, now face a division game in cincy. cleveland d is probably the best part of their team. my choice is cleveland or nothing

The only thing I really care about tonight... is that the Bengals blowout the Browns for Leah Still, her father Devon, and the rest of their family and friends.

Being from Cleveland and a long time Browns fan , I really have very little faith in them ,in this spot , going into Cinci on a short week. Fast track home carpet for the Bengals , Browns a grass team in general. That being said the rivalry aspect comes into play here and if I'm not mistaken these games are USUALY decided within 7 points or less (without looking it up). -
I have a teaser going connected to Browns +16.5 and even with that I don't feel all that comfortable , but that said trying to put my fandom aside if I was forced to bet on the point spread I would probably do Cleve +7 / 6 with the rivalry position in play and make it small because of the short week and Bengals home and fast track position.

I wasn't saying just the fact that it's Thursday night. It's a rivalry, they are in the same division, and it's the only game on tonight. So yes, given all of that I expect it to be a good game. Thought that was kind of obvious.

Usually about 7 points or less. But note CIN scores trending upwards in last 5 at home in this series. And I dont expect CLE to score more than 17 pts tonight.

You may be overestimating the Bengal's defense, which has been shit for much of this season and is coming off a game on Sunday where they allowed 6.1 yards per play against the Jags and their rookie QB...coincidentally, the Browns have gained the exact same number of yards on offense as the Jags this yr (2818), but that is while playing one less game...i rate the Browns at least a strong on offense as the jags, don't you?

your post above about the child with cancer makes it sound like you are emotionally invested in this game - having been there many times before, I'm wondering if you are looking for the favorable Cincy angles and ignoring everything else

it's the nfl, any given thursday right? gl

Na, it's more to do with the fact thar CLE Offense is regressing big time. And has key injuries.

The emotional angle just gives CIN a little extra motivation. Less chance some players take plays off. And more chance they give it 110%
