In the past I've had a lot of success with teasers when it comes to college football. Especially with 13-point teasers... usually taking power-house teams mismatched against smaller colleges.

But I never go over the mandatory number of teams. That's just gambling. : )

good luck!

Teasers in college football are a waste of money. In the NFL, completely different story.

In college so many games wind up being blowouts that the teaser never comes into play either in your favor or against you.

That is so true, so frequently. Like BT said, it hardly ever comes into play so you're better off just playing a parlay and paring down the # of games.

Exactly. I have been trying to kick my teaser addiction so at the end of last year I looked at how I did on them. I forget the exact numbers but I think out of say 30 teasers the extra 6 points only came into play 3 times, even if I had played ten point teasers it would have only effected 2 more. (I never play 13 so I cant speak for that). Worse yet is that on many of the 2 team teasers I would have split and only loss juice had I played each one straight. Long story short. don't do it. If your like me and have to learn the hard way at least keep a record of your plays and look back at the end of the season. I can promise you that you will see they cost you money overall.

I was like you, I used to adjust the lines the moment they came out based on the teaser. I realized that they have no value. Perfect sample was MSU vs Illinois 2006. I loved MSU and teased them from 10 to 4 and PSU vs someone. PSU lost the game out right and MSU won by 48. This doesn't mean that teasers aren't beneficial, but the scoring in college is crazy.

Points are more valuable in the NFL, and I teasers are something you can do almost any week in the NFL. However, college football isn't always a bad place to use teasers. You just need to pick and choose your spots. Playing a 10 teamer is probably not the best idea. There is more variance in college football between lines and final scores.

If a team loses by more then 20, theres a good chance they lose by more than 26.

4 favorites away from home, not necessarily a good spot to be in. Many of the underdogs teased have real blow out potential. Nobody knows how Virginia Tech or Indiana will come out, but they definitely have potential to beat those spreads by a touchdown if not more. Not sure I'd have the stomach to watch WKU trying to hang on in the 2nd half for you.

Play all of those spreads straight up and I think there's a great chance you make some money, those are all very justifiable sides to be on in those games, don't risk it on a teaser...

This statement is very important in college teasers.

When I used to play teasers, way back in the day. I remember I took LSU in 12 pt super teaser at Ceaser's Palace in 1996. Florida beat LSU by like 30 or 40 points. There is always 1 game in the teaser that seems to get crushed.

NFL can be very good if you stick to the guidelines. One of the best there ever was, and why you can no longer find it, was the 2 tm 6 pt @ even $$. If anyone still has it I'm not aware of it. Most are now -110.

Not sure what an average play is for you; Teasers are a waste of money IMO, I see you put $50 on it, if that's for fun, GL. If it's a large play, don't waste your money.

BTD,

I had a 7 team parlay card winner going into the last game and I was at Caesar's Palace in Vegas. The last game was USC-8/Notre Dame that year. (Pretty sure it was ND.) This was a long long time ago. I had been drinking and looked at the scoreboard. It said FINAL USC 23 - Notre Dame 17. USC didn't cover. Story of my life. Last game always loses.

Then after an hour or two when I wasn't drunk, I looked up and the sign said FINAL USC 28 - Notre Dame 17. USC had covered but I was too drunk to read it right. Unfortunately I had thrown the parlay receipt in the trash can and it was long gone. I had $20 on it to win $2000 (100-1).

As far as Destinations teaser parlay goes, all I can say is good luck with it. It seems something unexpected always happens when you spread your luck out over a lot of games.
