I covered with DET + 7 2 units and the 2H under -- 4 units (my max bet). But to be honest, I was half-rooting against my own total, as I felt Lions got screwed with three or four absurd flags. Not saying it is fixed -- its not -- but it IS a joke.

No way you're half-rooting against any financial interest you may have on a game. Never.

Yes, I am being hyperbolic. I am just saying ... it felt wrong to see the Cowboys celebrating, given the circumstances. And those calls almost cost me both bets.

I'm gonna put my 'coach' hat here-- but both teams had plenty of opportunities to win this game and that it shouldn't have come down to a single call/no-call by the refs.

Recurring theme all year. They need to sit down and define pi once and for all. It is decided by the refs alot with this no touching bullshit.

I don't follow the officiating crews very closely-- but after hearing Buck/Aikman emphasize how this crew has never worked together before..... WHY? Wouldn't you take your top officiating crews and give them big bonuses by paying them to officiate a sorta-important game?

Unfortunately they are fixed. Very sad that the games are no longer decided on the field.

I had Detroit +6.5, but picking up that flag was unfuckingbelievable. Zebras definitely had a role in the outcome. Curious why never explained too. Total bullshit.

That was the most obvious PI call that I had ever seen as a no call. The defender was holding him all down the field. He never looked for the ball. You see this called all the time. It did affect the outcome of the game. If you don't believe it did you should quit betting football period.

Going to be interesting to see how Blandino explains this one tomorrow. And what if he says "wrong to pick it up?" Didn't affect gamblers, but Detroit got screwed.

Overlooked amongst that flag pick-up was the fact that the refs basically called a penalty on Det on every third down on that drive!

No difference between NBA & NFL officials......there is a rooting interest on who they want to advance & they get it......bottom line!

While I agree that officials are just part of the game, they need to be the part that goes unnoticed. Not the part that will be the talk of the town for the next week.

Ask yourself this....what would have caused less of a stir? Calling the PI or picking up the flag? Same goes for baseball....it is easier to call a strike a ball than to call an obvious ball a strike. Missing a strike will not be noticed for long. Calling balls a strike will be remembered for a long time....aka the Braves vs Marlins postseason game long ago.

Sucks for those who had Det on the ML. Just imagine if Bailey made that FG or Prater had hooked one of his, then I would have been livid.

Detroit should've gotten the PI yardage and 15 more for Dez Bryant going out on the field without his helmet.

Then, on Dallas last drive, they called two def. holding to keep their drive going. On the 2nd penalty, Dallas got away with a clear hold.

I agree with you. It isn't bad officiating when the same thing happens over and over. It's corrupt. The powers that be wanted Dallas to advance, and they were given help in a close game.

Let's face it guys, a Dallas vs GB game is a much sexier match-up than GB vs Det. and is going to bring epic TV ratings and $ for the league.
