Thoughts on SD/ATL?

What do people think? I like SD but am trying to guess if the line may move in a direction that benefits me (I figured it would but am skeptical it drops below 6)

i like sd to keep it close or win. only thing that gives me pause is sd is playing in a bronco sandwich. still think sd can keep it close or win. a sexy offense like the falcons have will always attract support, so i think this line is a point or two inflated.

Chonce, I've seen your records and your plays and want to say congrats. If you like this game, I'll just defer to you as being an excellent capper. With that said, you are asking for opinions, so I'll give you mine. Mine is strictly from a fantasy football perspective but I think it's valuable in this case because it's so one sided. Here are the rankings:

QB #1 Matt Ryan
#12 Phillip Rivers

RB #5 Melvin Gordon
#8 Devonta Freeman
#9 Tevin Coleman

WR #1 Julio Jones
#39 Tyrell Williams
#47 Travis Benjamin

TE #10 Hunter Henry
#18 Jacob Tammie

Defense #24 Atlanta
#27 San Diego

Both teams have a terrible defense. Just looking at straight team stats, SD ranks 28th in rushing defense and has to deal with a one-two punch of Freeman and Coleman (Atlanta is at #22). They both have decent passing defenses (6 and 9), but one has to contend with Julio Jones, the other some very low rated WRs in Williams and Benjamin. I realize you think Atlanta is a public team and the pointspread is inflated. So, I guess we'll see. I'm just really wondering if this is a game to pull the trigger on as it really seems to me that if any team is going to be exploited, it's San Diego. Just my two cents.

I think both teams are good for 3 TD's and 2 FG's or more. Looking at YPP, and offensive efficiency, my guess is the over and then SD+7. I think each team will move the ball and whoever has the ball last will score and win/cover.

Yeah I could've done this at -130 -- a day earlier maybe -120. So I am going to ride it out at 6.5 (trying not to buy points too often, as long-term I think it isn't a great strategy -- but it sure as hell makes you feel better in the short-term)
