As a Missouri fan, I was quite surprised when opening line came out last night at Mizzou -14. This isn't a classic sandwich game as Oklahoma State is ranked #17 and undefeated, but Mizzou having won big game at Nebraska for first time in 30 years and toughest game on schedule next week at Texas, this feels like a sandwich game for me. Unlike Nebraska, Oklahoma State has the offense to expose Mizzou's defense to make the scoreboard look like a pinball machine. Mizzou is very tough at home but OSU has given Mizzou some problems over the years. They also know they have OU,TT,and Texas left on the schedule so there will be a lot of fight I believe in the Cowboys. With all this being said, I have been saying all year that this Tigers team is playing with a big chip on their shoulder due to BCS snub last season and near miss playing in BCS Championship game. They know they can't slip up here if they want to make next week's game to have same meaning. I would love to hear others thoughts on this game. I am undecided right now and may not play this game but line seems to be begging for Cowboys money. I was expecting to see something around 8 or 9 for Mizzou. Thoughts?

I expect a real shootout. Both teams put up 50+ a game, (BTW I discount the Nebraska win TY because Nebraska is not very good, they even managed to make VT look good and that's hard to do TY.)

14 may be a bit much against a team with as much offense as OSU has, one TO could greatly impact this final score. If the O/U is less than 74 I'm nailing it.

1-if you're undecided don't play it... that should be rule #1 of wagering along w/ don't chase. there are 102 sides and totals, not counting 1st halves or qtrs on the board this weekend and pretty much every weekend... if ur not sure on this one, there are plenty of others to choose from!!

2-when i think of a look ahead, it's more in the form of laying 27 pts to iowa st for a Noon kickoff... get off slow early, lead by 24 late, take the foot off the gas... i wouldn't consider playing the #17 team in the country in a conference game at night on national tv a typical lookahead... plus missouri is a veteran team that's probably less likely to fall into that trap... if oh st -26 was playing at noon on b10 network this week w/ penn st next week that would fall into classic lookahead situation imo

good luck

Great game for the cowboys but I really want to see what the total comes to in this one. Mizzou is really good this year but after last week I feel they are over valued giving up 2 td's. Probably a no play for me none the less. Since your a Mizzou fan, have they improved at all in regards to the secondary?

its a mizz play or nothing. oklahoma state does poorly on the road against quality opponents. could be tempting if it drops below 14, but mostly likely a sit back and watch game

I really lean to the pokes here. They are playing at a pretty high level even though their opponents haven't been the best. Their defense has been improved besides their DL, which still sucks.

Oklahoma State has been also going pretty vanilla not throwing THAT much, and they hopefully should get Pettigrew back this week to help the passing game. Oklahoma State should be able to keep up scoring with what I think is an overrated Missouri defense

If OSU doesn't get Pettigrew back, I may not play the game at all..That's how important he is to this team..He was averaging 10 receptions a game. And he's a great blocker. Many NFL scouts say this is the number 1 tight-end in the nation on their list...That's how good he is.

How could they? They're ranked 83rd in the NCAA. Never heard anyone even mention Missouri and their D in the same sentence, at least in a positive way. OSU must control the gm as much as possible w/their #2 rated RO, Mo not too bad vs the run, ranked 15th. As GS said, Pettigrew is essential. Course there's a pretty good one on the other tm too. If it gets to 14-, I may play OSU med. $$! 49/42 WOW!!! BOL all, one of the most attractive gms, on a weekend full of em, THIS is what you & I wait 7 mos. for!!!! :dancefool

I like the pokes here too, I don't think this game should be double digits. I know Mizzou's run defense is pretty good, but then again, when teams are down 3tds, they tend to give up on the run and that probably skews the stats a bit. I think OK St. scores on at least 70% of their possessions.

They had better score on 70% of their possessions because their D could easily get 49 dropped on them no problem.

Confidence is huge in CFB and OK St. has a lot right now, so does Mizzou, but I think the Pokes can hang.

Missouri offense is unreal. Okla St offense is above average but are they good enough to score 35 @ Missouri?

53 points per game is above average??? They score more then their basketball team. I don't care who it was against, it was against everybody they have played, would you feel better about their offense if they would have of hung 70 a game? I bet the could have in a few, they just called off the dogs because their coach is a man, he's 40.

That is the only question here. You know Mizzou is plenty good enough to get to 49 or more against an average defense like Okie State.

4 minutes left in the game and Mizzou is up 20, which side would you rather be on? Also, Mizzou is coming off of a big, big win for the school, they could start slow, they did at home against Buffalo, they were only up 6 in the 3rd quarter.

Okla St hasn't faced a defense worth a lick.

A look ahead is more than possible for Missouri but their offense is far superior to Okla St.

Who has Mizzou faced??? Ill? Buffalo? It's a wash when you look at it. I love the points here.

I really think Mizzou will run away with this game, as Oklahoma States defense is very weak
