thinking of starting a power wash business on the side

Anyone have any knowledge about this field...it seems to be wide open, lots of opportunity...the main reason I am thinking about this is I already advertise to individual home owners daily...

I figure I could just branch off of that... plus there's not a ridiculous amount of start up needed.:drink:

any suggestions?

A friend of a friend started his power wash business. One of his customers is a car dealership. I would not get into it unless you had clients lined up. This kind of business involves contacts and knowing a great many people who are willing to pay to have their car washed.

You have to decide if it is worth the work. While pressure washing is not hard work, it is time consuming and something that I do not think you can charge alot for. The main thing is getting commercial accounts I would guess. You do not want to get caught up going from house to house I wouldnt imagine. Also seems to be very seasonalup north. I cant think there would be much to power wash in the middle of winter.

If you want a car wash though, I have one on the market in Fish's neighborhood.

its not a great deal of equipment, nothing a truck couldn't handle...from what i have researched so far it looks pretty decent...hour rate to charge etc.

one of my friends here owns Georgia pressure & steam and he kills it. He advertises on talk radio only and he takes names. the chemicals will eat you up.
