The whole "never inhaled" bull was to calm the nut cases on the far right. Anybody knows that if Bill had been sitting in somebody's dormroom puffing and spitting it out somebody would have smacked him in the back of the head and said, "hey Bill stop wasting my stuff!"

Good point ,Kaya!...But it just shows you the character of the man when he feels he has to lie to gain his own personal success...The offense to the right was the lying, much more of an issue than blazing a little reefer..If he said he smoked a little it would have been a non issue a few weeks later, but his pattern of lies is timeless.

BTW, I'm not denying that Clinton was a liar, however I believe that to be true of 99.9% of all politicians. To me the lie about inhaling was easy to understand because I also find the extremely far right hard to take seriously and see them as more of a fringe group. As far as Lewinsky, to me, that was a natural reaction. He got busted cheating on his wife, he probably denied it before he even really thought about what to say.
Kaya the Monica thing is just a product of poor judgement...From doing it in the first place to continuing his pattern gutless lies and decipt..It tells you a lot about the man...he is the only reason he is the only president to be impeached...It wasn't the blowjob that got him in trouble it was the lying and deception, and the total lack shamelessness and honor.

There I fully disagree, it was the result of constant republican persecution from the minute he stepped in to office. That coupled with the obsessive hate towards Clinton by those such as Trent Lott and Ken Starr. I believe I'm correct in saying he was the most investigated president in history, which is ridiculous when you consider Reagan and Nixon.
As someone that lives abroad it was amazing that the American public just didn't get it as the whole Clinton/Lewinsky affair was going on. It was terribly embarrasing to us as a nation, but what nobody seemed to understand back home was that the world wasn't laughing at Clinton, they were laughing that the public, media, and congress for being such uptight puritans.
