1) we want rents to be paid on time, it's due on the first mother fuckers. Not the 10th or the 15th or next month when you get a tax refund of taxes you never paid

2) if you've been evicted twice, youse can't be allowed to use the legal system to delay eviction a 3rd time. We get to move you into the street should you decide not to move voluntarily

3) able bodies living by the mailbox should be required to perform 20 hours of community service per week. From cleaning their own neighborhoods, to painting the free housing they're receiving, to making repairs to their housing, to providing neighborhood watchdog services. Make them contribute

Why is this something only "Republicans" need to rally about?

somewhat tongue in cheek, but after the new rallies for an increase of minimum to something like $ 15 at McDonald's, and watching one rally after another for liberal causes, I'm thinking maybe we need to rally about something. Of course such a rally would be used against evil, white, selfish landlords, kinda similar to their portrayal on Broadway in Rent. A very popular and long running play which I thought sucked, one of a very few plays I didn't like.

and of course some landlords are democrats, just not the majority based on nothing but an educated extrapolation.

Being a Landlord is a tough job....It might be 3 months before you can kick somebody out for not paying the rent & then they might trash the place after getting kicked out...What a way to make a living...

I have a property management company that handles all of this for me. I set the rent and approve the tenants. The company goes in and inspects the house and takes photos every six months and sends them to me. The inspector checks the furnace filter and washer hoses, etc.

If for some reason the tenants wouldn't pay or break the lease, the property management company sues them, not me.

They get a cut off the top, but it is nice having someone do all the real work.
