OK guys. Listen up. This is where we stand.

I called ESPN this morning and was told now that we have already had the draft that we cannot change the positions or add or subtract slots. It was disappointing what he told me. I ask him what we could do to resolve our problem and he said one of the things was to delete the league and reset it. Meaning that I could then change the settings and manually put in each guys players they drafted and we will be good to go with a brand new slate. He said it would take 3-5 hours to do this but I'm willing to take the time to make this right if you all are with me on this. I'm off today so it's not a big deal really.

What I'd like to do with approval is change the pitchers from 7 to 9 and make them all [P] instead of [SP] and [RP] if I can and also ADD 2 more bench spots to the pitchers area. But what that means is we'll have to figure out how to add the 2 extra players in a fair way. My suggestion...let each guy in the same draft order add 2 guys one at a time. Might be a little pain but how else can we do it? Ideas?

I'm also going to put a transaction limit at 100 and change the number of mgr's from 2 to 6 to veto a trade.

Then I guess if we don"t get this all figured out i can always change the stats to start in week 3 so were all on a level field.

Thats the best I can do guys. Are you with me or not? And if not..let me know why and we'll crunch it out before Monday.

So disregard the poll at the website cause we cant change anything anyway.

Team Harris and Joltin Joe told me whatever I did was cool with them so I guess unless I get a few guys against this we can get this rollin.

Everyone check in asap.

Reid brought up the point [in the forum] of the scoring system. instead of getting credit for a win like 1-0 iI would also like to change that like we had in the hockey fantasy league. If you beat your opponent 7-3-1...thats how it should be scored in the standings.

Anything else?

Bushay, I like the idea of 9 pitchers, that is good with me. If you feel that you have the time to do it then great, but if not then its not the end of the world. As far as drafting the next two pitchers , doing it in that same order is fine by me.

Ok 2 new things to report on.

1. I've added a chat box on the website so we can talk in real time. This will be good for discussing trade in real time instead of sending slow emails. I think it will be a great added feature to the site. We can set a standard time to meet on a daily basis if we like to just trash talk or talk trade or whatevers on your mine.

2. Secondly, after giving it some thought, I know that Vic feels it will be unfair to add 2 players at a later date such as now [after the draft] I dont feel as strongly as he does about this but maybe he has a point. I think we can pull it off but lets discuss it in a poll. I'll put it up on the site. Last one before we do a redraft and I manually redo all the teams.

The question is:
Do you want to play the rest of the season with just 7 total pitchers used any way you like? We'll still have 4 bench players to be used any way you wish...or

Do you want me to redo the draft and make it [9] pitchers used any way you like and then I'll add 2 bench players to everyone's roster but we'll have to add each player individually one at a time.

My thoughts are it will naturally be more difficult to add the 2 players to each team but it's such a long season I thinks it's worth it. I'll leave it up to you guys to decide. Majority rules.

Fair?

You see, I don't mind going thru the work but i want EVERYONE to be able to live with it. After all there a little money involved now.
I happen to agree with you but I'm only one vote. I'll put up the poll now at the site.

I like 9 pitchers
I like limit of transactions
I think we need to have each category count as a W or L instead of 1-0.

Also--maybe we make this week a bye and start TOTALLY fresh with new lineups next week to be fair.

-If we are picking up players in a draft-should the FA that were just picked up be put in the pool??

Thanks for the work Bushay

Well, were not going to be able to do it like a draft. But what we can do is this. The draft ended with the 12th team drafting [team hbk] if there were another 2 rounds team 12 would again have the next selection followed by team 11 then 10 then down the line and then back uo to 12 again to finish complete the draft. Heres how it went.

I could find out, quickly and in order who everyone wanted as their 22nd and 23rd selections and manually put them into there team lineups. That's the only way I can think of to do it if we vote that route. Did you vote at the web site?
I think we can make it work and then like you say possible start keeping track in week 3. I'm ok starting the scoring either week.

Everyone Vote!

No, I don't think this should cause any issues. I can always insert them into the teams of their new owners after filling in the completed redraft.

Whale...did you vote? or your other members you got to join? I ask that because the sooner I see a majority voting either way in the poll I can begin the redraft. The guys at ESPN said it would take quite a while to do. So vote if you all can asap.

Well JD, As of right now, how were sitting, with 7 pitchers, holds I doubt barely come into play. Will it make THAT big a difference by adding 2 more roster spots in the [P] category?
My gut feeling is no but if we get enough guys speaking up about it before I do the redraft i guess I'll have to address it.
Fair enough?

Bushay

I am up for whatever the majority wants. My wife is literally at the onset of labor (unless she is having false labor pains), so I am going to be out of contact for the next several days if the baby "decides" to come in the next day or two.
If it is decided that we will "draft" the additional two spots, I will take whoever the top players are when my # comes around.
I will try to check in but first things first on the homefront. Thanks.

Bushay--

When you manually "redrafted" did it change the players that were activated for the past couple of days? For example, Wednesday night I put Xavier Nady on the Bench or DL for Thursday. However, when I went to Thursday's scoring, I showed that he was in the active lineup. Similarly, I believe I had activated Jack Brust, replacing someone else, yet showed him on the bench.

I personally don't care about what has been going on the past few days with all the disagreements, because I am just in this for fun and whether or not I lose $50 is going to be forgotten on me come October. I was just curious as to whether or not the situations I presented above could have happened when the league was redrafted. Any insight? Thanks.

I am going to send you $50 worth of baby wipes. I hear they're good for us 40+ year olds.

I've asked Justin to do the right thing and put the league back in our hands. Hopefully he'll man up and do the right thing.

Is the league still alive? I haven't sent B'man the loot yet (because I am a knucklehead), but will do so if we are still good to go (and since I crushed Bushay this past week as payback for fantasy hockey).
