I think it starts with creating an environment where everyone can have their threads/posts remain where they intended to place them...that way at least posters that create threads/posts/content don't feel like their content isn't being valued here...of course there will be those spam content that is just trying to advertise for whatever and getting rid of that will just have to be by staff putting in more time to really read and understand the intent behind each thread/post created...

Starting like this at least ensures that every poster gets a chance to create their own content whether that content is agreeable to all is another matter.

The issue of content being agreeable is not what staff here should spend there time on which is pretty much policing content...that would be a waste of the resources...staff time is better used to create contests and encourage content created by posters. The reason I say forums should moderate less is because when forums moderate too much it always inevitably gets policed too much and that creates an environment where posters keep reporting on fellow posters and staff eventually take sides as well...the best way to avoid this is to just create subsections where like minded posters will automatically gravitate towards...leaving the posters that like to debate and argue to the main forum section...

It would be better for posters to get used to using the ignore button more as opposed to reporting on others trying to get posters banned...forums always need more posters so any kind of banning is simply counter productive to growing a forum larger.

This section for comments and suggestions should be paid more attention to by staff because any poster that takes the time to voice their opinions on how to make the site better is a poster that is interested to help make this forum more successful...and cooperation between posters and staff will also help make this forum more successful too.

We do read and we do pay attention @Tuesday but not all ideas can be implemented.

Not all threads belong where they are placed originally and that's why they will be moved where they were intended to go.

Oh I didn't mean that nobody pays attention...I just meant that often there are disagreements and misunderstandings about where things should be and hopefully staff and posters could discuss it more before things are moved or even to explore where things should be in the future.

RX is committed to non transparency so far....hope they realize that is NOT the way to handle things going forward.

Gotta say I really don't like the direction TheRx is going with extra emphasis on policing posters and just following in the footsteps of SBR/BMR regarding excessive moderation...

They will be placed to shut you up
They are kept vague on purpose.

Politics do not belong in the main forum thats why there is a political forum... promoting whatver you want is fine no matter how factually inaccurate it may be as long as its in its proper place and not imposing itself on ppl who do not wish to interact with it. The purpose of the forum is not to promote political agenda via cyber bullying and disinformation, its for information about sports and sports betting. Why is that so hard to understand and why is it so hard to respect other ppls boundaries? No ones stopping you from believing whatever it is you want to, or even saying it, but that doesnt give you a free pass to peddle conspiracy theories and push politics on ppl who dont want anything to do with it and then dogpiling them for it. Its my understanding this was a better sports forum before things like this started to take place.

If thats the case ask yourself what is the real issue at hand here. It doesnt take stephen hawking to do that math.
