One example is this: "I was just standing out on the street and I heard a bomb go off then fire started shooting out of the WTC."

Alex Jones interpretation: See, we have eyewitnesses that proove there were bombs at the WTC

Common sense interpretation: Many people use "bomb" as a figure of speech. "Your house is a mess. It looks like a bomb went off in here."
