The $2.7 billion mega-resort called Wynn was open two weeks before we ventured over. Like many long-time locals, we don’t frequent the Strip as often as we used to. To steal a line from Yogi Berra, nobody goes there anymore because it’s too crowded.

I appreciate your hard work

I read Ame Lang's article on the spread offense and Urban Meyer. She dogs my Vols and Fulmer a little. I can only say that I am glad that Tennessee will be his introduction into the SEC.
I think she is mistaken in her opinion and I know for sure that Urban Meyer ain't going on no 16 game winning streak in the SEC, against Tennessee, or ever. He will have some success and will definately always have talent there, but to go ahead and say that he will own Fulmer already is a stretch. Dude hasn't coached one SEC game and he is already better than the current winningest coach in football. That is very BOLD. He might be the second coming, but I'm gonna need to see a few miracle to be a believer.

Great articles on the home page and good article from Ame

Please pass this on to Ame, as I will be looking for her on Sept 17 at the welcome ceremony for Meyer down in FLA. I hope I don't have my hat in my hand at the time

Volhound,

Just to set the record straight, the name of the writer who penned that article is A R N I E Lang, not Ame. He is a man, not a women. :digit:

However, we are fortunate to have a new female writer in Tanya Lea. Her first two articles are also on the home page!

At first glance it looked like Ame because it was italicized, now I see. For your information the "i" was left off of his name on the front page. I apologize to Arnie for the misspelling of his name and sorry I referred to you as a woman. No offence to women.

The articles are good, it's just that one of them did it's job and invoked the unleashing of my opinion. I hope my comments were received with my respect included

Volhound,

The author of that article spells his first name ARNE but it is pronounced ARNIE.

I hope that clears everything up! :103631605

Great Work (as always) by Arne.

Having said that, I think we got a biased report. Describing the Wynn Sports Book as "the book ranks amongst the largest of recent vintage"??

Oh my!! Put Arne in charge of PR at Wynn. Sure, it is a lot larger than the Monte Carlo book, but come on now. Arne must have spent a good hour on that sentence alone, spinning that story.

The rest of the read was great, however. The book is disappointingly small, but I give them an A+ so far on customer service, taking big limits, a 100% class act staff, and far better accessibility than I expected. Let's hope they use the "Golden Nugget Model" continuing to take huge bets and getting a great rep by doing so.
