Wow just saw it today (downloaded it, its all over the internet)

Mickey Rourke is so good in it its almost as if he's not acting.

Story is so so but the acting is so good it doesnt make a difference that almost nothing ever happens.

I would bet my left nut that Rourke wins the Oscar

Really liked The Wrestler a lot - aside from the last bit... That director (Aronofsky) did Pi and Requiem for a Dream as well, and it seems like his endings always go a bit too far, this time I thought a bit overly dramatic. But either way, loved the movie. I'm sure it doesn't seem like acting because the story has so many similarities to his acting career and his attempt at professional boxing... A lot like seeing LT in Any Given Sunday.

had to bump this up. Watched it last night, GREAT film. Aronofsky did it again, and Rourke...wow, what a performance. He better get an oscar nomination. Also, Tomei was great as the washed up stripper mom.
