This has nothing to do with Russell Wilson’s poor play in the NFC championship or Richard Sherman’s injured arm. It doesn’t have a lick to do with Pete Carroll’s coaching strategy or Marshawn Lynch. The opponent won’t matter either. No, the Seattle Seahawks aren’t going to win Super Bowl XLIX because history says they won’t...... They just dominated the Colts and had no cameras! God bless Americas true team. Cowboys didn’t defend this country against the British….The Patriots did!/ LOL!!! LOL!!!LOL!!!! ......Yes !!!!! I have had some cocktails!!!! /LOL/LOL... Just kidding about Patriots !!! LOL... If you are trying to get even because you had been losing all season betting on Superbowl, or trying to predict this match-up betting lot more on this particular game of end games !!! Good luck!!! You picked wrong match up on this game. Why? J.J. Bascus stat's have this game even on a neutral field. There is no percentage or game edge for Handicapper gamblers in our group to pick a winner of this game, a 50/50 shot even with a minute point spread. We as group got our load and will be hitting the road with a great winning season.

In their final practice before heading to Arizona for Super Bowl XLIX, the
New England Patriots appear healthy, with perfect attendance Sunday.
Rookie center Bryan Stork, who has been dealing with a knee issue, continues to show no noticeable signs of injury, according to ESPN.com.
Saturday's injury report listed cornerback Brandon Browner (knee), linebacker Hightower (shoulder), Chris Jones (elbow), wide receiver Brandon LaFell (shoulder, toe), defensive tackle Siliga (foot) and Stork as questionable. Quarterback Tom Brady (ankle) was designated as probable.

Coach Bill Belichick's team is scheduled to fly to Arizona on Monday and hold workouts this week at the Arizona Cardinals' facility.
For the past week, the Patriots have been dealing with distractions from the so-called "deflategate" investigation.
Belichick -- under fire for his team using underinflated footballs in the AFC Championship Game -- said Saturday at a news conference that the Patriots had studied and simulated the process of ball preparation and he believes they "absolutely followed every rule to the letter."
The NFL is investigating the Patriots after 11 of 12 game balls they used in their 45-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC title game were found to be underinflated.

"I believe now 100 percent that I personally and we as an organization have absolutely followed every rule to the letter," Belichick said.
"I am embarrassed to talk about the amount of time that I've put into this relative to the other important challenge in front of us," he said, referring to preparations to play the Seattle Seahawks in next Sunday's Super Bowl.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman was asked after Sunday's practice where the team stands with its game plan."I feel good. Practice has had a high tempo; guys are focused," Edelman said. "We still have a long way to go. We still have a few days out in Arizona to prepare so we're going to try to take advantage of that. It's been pretty good."Edelman knows he will be challenged by the Seahawks' defensive backs."They're all big, strong, ferocious players," he said. "They play in their scheme. They're well coached. They play hard."Edelman will use his last Super Bowl experience to stay focused during the media-frenzy week leading up to the game."You know, just all the scheduling of everything, definitely being at one has helped," he said. "It's always a little different every year I guess. I'm a little more familiar with what you've got going on when you're there (and) being able to ignore a bunch of distractions and all that kind of stuff. It really is a business trip for us.Edelman was asked whether he knew about the science projects Belichick was working on in the last few days -- testing the air pressure in footballs."I wasn't. Coach (has) always got his own thing going and I've moved on to Seattle last Sunday so that's how I feel about that whole thing," Edelman said. The longtime Patriots coach emotionally defended his team on Saturday."It's always nice to hear your coach talk with that amount of passion and pride about our unit," Edelman said. "We still have other things to accomplish. We could talk about how Coach felt and all of that stuff after this week because it doesn't really mean anything unless you go out and you finish it."Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones said after practice he has an idea what to expect this week in Arizona."Well, this is my third year in the NFL and I feel like I've had a pretty decent amount of media experience," Jones said. "I feel like I'm pretty well prepared for the media day on Tuesday."Jones said the preparation for a quarterback like Russell Wilson of the Seahawks goes beyond one player."It doesn't start with the quarterback, but I feel like it's the running back and the quarterback," Jones said. "They have a very good tandem in their backfield. Starting off with (running back) Marshawn Lynch, he's a guy that if you let him he could run over your whole defense; that's if you let him."Then you have another guy like Russell Wilson, if you let him he could juke out your whole defense and make big plays. I feel like as a defense as whole, I feel like you've got to contain those two guys."

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. —
Deflategate could have been caused by the weather conditions at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough Sunday night, a Boston College physics professor said........
“It’s not possible for Weather not to have played a role,” said Professor Michael Naughton, chair of the physics department.
7 Things you need to know about Deflategate Naughton, in a press release issued by the university, said a football that has been inflated immediately begins losing pressure once it is placed in colder temperatures.

While it was not that cold at Foxborough Sunday night, it was likely colder on the field than the room where the balls were inflated. “Say you inflated the ball to 12.5 PSI -- the NFL minimum -- in a room at 70 degrees, and then used the ball outside where it was 50 degrees. That 12.5 PSI would eventually become 11.5 PSI," said Naughton.
"If you inflate the ball to 12.5 PSI in an even warmer room where it was, say, 80 degrees, and then played outdoors at 40 degrees, that 12.5 PSI would become 10.5 PSI -- a drop of two PSIs."
The NFL has found that 11 of the 12 balls used by Tom Brady and the Patriots were underinflated, ESPN reported.

[h=1]The NFL Will Conclude Belichick And Brady Did Not Cheat[/h][h=1]Mike Ozanian Forbes Staff [Traffic cop at the intersection of money and sports][/h]I believe that the NFL will conclude regarding its investigation into the deflated footballs used by the New England Patriots during their AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts that neither head coach Bill Belichick nor quarterback Tom Brady deliberately did anything to deflate the footballs below the league limit of 12.5 pounds per square inch.

In other words, that when it comes to cheating, whatBelichick and Brady have said during their press conferences is the truth.
It is not unusual for quarterbacks to have footballs worked over before games to get them they way they like. In an interview with the Tampa Bay Times in 2012, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Brad Johnson said that before Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003, he paid some unidentified people $7,500 to doctor the 100 footballs allocated for use in that game. Johnson didn’t say that he had the air pressure altered; he said that he had the balls scuffed, which wasn’t legal at the time but is now. And during a CBS -1.5% broadcast of this season’s matchup between the Green Bay Packers and New England on Nov. 30, announcer Phil Simms said Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers preferred footballs that were inflated slightly beyond the specified limit. “Every team tampers with the footballs,” Matt Leinart said on Twitter. “Ask any Qb In the league, this is ridiculous!!”
What I think happened is the Patriots equipment manager, or whomever deals with getting the footballs the way Brady prefers them, deflated the balls below the 12.5 pounds per square inch, or, had the footballs right at the legal minimum and the weather caused the weight of the footballs to fall below the minimum PPSI.

The media has been quick to jump on Spygate–when the Patriots videotaped the defensive signals of the New York Jets during a game–as evidence that Belichick is a serial cheater. But the media seems to have forgotten that, Jack Del Rio, then the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, said at the time it was commonplace to study actions on the opposing sideline. ”I think all teams do that,” he said. That’s been going on forever.” And former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson said at the time: This is exactly how I was told to do it 18 years ago by a Kansas City Chiefs scout. I tried it, but I didn’t think it helped us. Bill Belichick was wrong because he videotaped signals after a memo was sent out to all teams saying not to do it. But what irritates me is hearing some reactions from players and coaches. These players don’t know what their coaches are doing, and some of the coaches have selective amnesia because I know for a fact there were various teams doing this. That’s why the memo was sent to everybody. That doesn’t make Belichick right, but a lot of teams are doing this.”

This doesn’t make Belichick innocent in 2007, but it doesn’t exactly make him some sort of serial cheater, either. I suspect the NFL will fine the Patriots (think something along the lines of the Pac-12 fining USC for using deflated footballs against Oregon in 2012) after the Super Bowl for the deflated footballs, and put in place some sort of rule changes to ensure footballs that are used during games to meet the league requirements. But I doubt the NFL will find any evidence Brady or Belichick knowingly had the footballs deflated.

Seattle's special teams have gotten the Seahawks out of plenty of jams this year. In the NFC title game alone, they pulled off a fake field goal and a massive onside kick recovery to spark a miraculous comeback. They'll need more than tricks, however, to keep the Patriots' special teams in check. New England boasts a smothering coverage unit, and in Julian Edelman has the second-best punt returner in the NFL. With what could be a low-scoring affair, a few big special teams plays could make a big difference.

I got my start by studying Bob Martins methods with fellow handicappers J.J. Bascus and System Smitty Ryan many years ago and spending countless hours reverse-engineering what I could of his systems Grindstone..The strategy of Bob Martin, appealed to me as a finance manager as well as a NFL handicapper having studied financial aspects of money management in wagering in NFL games and provided the foundation of my interest in predictive analytic and sports analysis as a tool for betting on NFL games. Using both J.J. Bascus power rating and Bob Martins money management has worked for me over years in a different perspective in handicapping.
Generally, I'm disappointed at the quality of books available on sports betting Grindstone . Some reports analyze the critical question of what enables football games to cover the point spread teams. The Reports are based on a study of every NFL game and every game played over the past 26 seasons (1988 through 2013) and reveal characteristics that have led to success vs. the point spread. These Reports reveal facts, not theories!. Utilizing comparative analysis, the Method enables you to determine an accurate line between two teams using basic team stats (rushing, passing, points, etc.). You need only to know basic math and a pocket calculator will greatly speed up the handicapping process. Simply do the math and compare the result to the point spread to determine the selection and its strength. Among the books available, might be, Dan Gordon's is certainly one of the better ones Grindstone . He provides good handicapping information and avoids many mathematical downfalls that progress , the work of other authors. Beat the Sports Books is a worthwhile read for those who like to bet NFL games against the spread. I can easily imagine a better book on the topic, but such a book or analysis on point spreads hasn't been published yet. In the meantime, this may be the best one on the market Grindstone.
See you next season of NFL here on RX Grindstone and good luck to you on Superbowl.....
