The Rx Picks and Record Tracker Forum

Rules and Regulations:

#1. You must have 500 posts to be eligible.

#2. You must grade your picks and post your updated record after each day before posting your next picks -Note - no one has to pick everyday. (If you choose not to post a pick on any given day no action is required in you're thread.)

#3. The tracking folder is strictly for posting picks, nothing else. Only the capper may post in his or her personal thread for each sport.

#4. You must use WIDELY AVAILABLE lines at the time of posting. No locals will be accepted as line sources. Any line used must be displayed on Rx. live lines by at least one live lines book at the time the pick is posted.

#5. You must give a unit value on all selections, please use unit systems of 1 thru 5 units per pick with 5 being the highest (naturally.)

#6. You will use the same thread each and every day by sport, so it will be easy to find and easily checked for any errors. When you grade a pick please include juice - plus or minus - in your year to date record. For the sake of the Tracker Thread all units will be $100 (not counting juice.)

#7. For each sport you must use a separate thread; NBA, MLB, College Hoops, etc. Any capper posting picks in the (so-called) Global sports like tennis, soccer, horse racing, auto racing, etc. can combine them in a single Global sports thread. Only the major sports need to have their own separate threads for each capper.

#8. There will be no editing; if something needs to be edited please ask a moderator. Post your changes in the “Please Edit Thread” with an explanation of what you need edited and why. A mod will take care of it as soon as possible.

#9. You will be required to keep an honest record with updates that will be monitored by Mods and fellow posters, anyone who is suspected of padding their record or does not follow the guidelines set forth will be asked to leave the record tracking folder. The entire moderating staff, not any single moderator, will make rulings.

#10. Please remember this forum is soley to keep track of picks, year to date records, and plus or minus profits by cappers in each individual sport. The Rx. wishes to keep all dialogue such as write-ups, discussions, criticisms, congratulations etc. in the sport forums. Only the original poster may post in his thread (Mods may edit or comment when appropriate.) Save congratulations or other comments for the sport forums.

Example: NCAA Basketball Capping Thread:

The poster's name date and time of post - plus post count will be automatically included in each post by the website software.

Year to Date 2-2-0 + 1 unit Profit + $80

Today's Pick: Duke -4 (-110) 2 units - 220/200 (Line available at CRIS-Rio-MyBookie.)

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Uconn –8.5 (-104) 1 Unit - 104/100 (Pinnacle)

Congrats to Wilheim and Jman for a great job putting this together. This will be fun and we will finally have a one stop shop to see who the "real" cappers are at the Rx.

What about the ***THE MIGHTY RIGGS***? He only has 230 or so posts but he is planning on hitting his picks at a 75% plus clip! It would be tough to keep the best capper (by his own account) out of the folder.

Great idea! I count 462 eligible based on post count with quite a few on the bubble. All the best to the Rx trackers.

Hello Jack any suggestions and help from you will be greatly appreciated.

Speaking of 500 posts, we are talking about real posts so please do not go on a thread bumping or how are you spree to pad your post total. I can't remember who it was but we had a poster jump in every thread recently with 2 or 3 word posts just to increase his post count. Please write traditional in the spirit of the thread posts. Mods will be watching for spam posters.

Thanks,wil.

I think these rules and regulations are stupid. No,not the total posts, but the fact this will take hours and hours of work for the capper.Do you realize how many hours of work is involved? And then to have to follow all these rules.I think the 3% club is going to pass, and you will end up with the degenerate, unemployed playing your game becouse they got nothing better to do.If you want the truly good cappers to share, you should make it alot easier and faster otherwise it will be full of the Riggs' of this forum.Treat the pros like pros, not like kids.

I am a long-time lurker. I do alright with my real picks. I don't post everyday unless I have something of value to add - thus I would never have 500-posts for quite some time.

I'm not the type to post feedback on a Riggs type thread. I'm in this only for the money - analyze & bet.

I wouldn't put any credibility into the rankings of who is doing the best unless one line was availabe -- otherwise it will become a "he-said she-said" type of issue. For example, "the line was -6 when I bet but -8 when the game went off" - and the game is decided by -7.

I believe you start putting limitations (e.g., 500-posts) you lose interest by some - me for example. I have no desire to get to that level and when I look at someone's handicapping skills I rely upon their abilities - not upon the # of posts.

I do like the general idea and the spirit of tracking picks. When it comes to money, I am serious. The industry attracks a lof of hypists & con-artists - so it will be interesting to see how the handicappers really do.

I think the forum will be a great spot to keep REAL records by REAL cappers. The rules are tough if you are a 1st grader but pretty simple for anyone with a brain in their head. The key is accurate year to date records by posters using lines from the live line books on this site. The units won or loss feature will tell us who the real winners are. I am sick of phonies making picks all over the forum with lines no one ever heard of and betting $40,000 a game. Unfortunately I am short when it comes to posts and will admit I am not the greatest capper who ever lived so I look forward to watching the forum and see how honest hardworking handicappers do with real numbers and realistic amounts on a day to day and season to season basis sport by sport.

Thanks Cheater, we put alot of consideration into these rules and I'm sure there will be some minor kinks to work out..

I agree with you , for those that feel its too much effort to keep an accurate record then don't particpate.

Roxy first of all thanks for the kind words. Please remember you don't have to post everday, give it a try say in the NCAA tournament and try to pick your spots by just posting the plays you feel best about, there is no minimum amount of plays and this is not a contest, you can skip a week (or more) if you like. Give it a shot it can fun having a record tracked and may even improve your handicapping by increasing your intensity to pick a big winner now and then.

Good luck, wil.:howdy:
