The refs in the Car/Mtl game....

are absolutely terrible. How can you make those calls in the 3rd perios and overtime? i hope the league is proud of themselves. I hope both teams bitch about the refs after the game. What a joke

The Brind'Amour call at the end of the 3rd. Also the Ward call. There was one on Montreal as well.

After a lousy call they make another to even things up
if they realize they goofed.

I thought they were all legit penalty material - granted, none of that would've been called in past years.

The most annoying call was Bouillon for semi-accidentally shooting the puck in the crowd. That cost us 2 goals! But the rules are pretty clear and the NHL has warned the refs that they wanted everything to be called. Players know it too - I can't believe many of them still cross-check from behind, check in the face, hold sticks, etc.

I hate players who do that crap much more than the refs who call them for it.

No doubt about it, the next 2 games are going to be hell for the Habs - the Canes will give it their all, and they *are* a more talented team on paper. If Gerber or Ward can give you a couple of good games, we might very well head back to Carolina with a tied series.

I'm just hoping for 1-1 in Montreal.
