Hopefully this year puts an end to the and 1 proposal that a lot of people are talking but unfortunately this may be the next step taken.

Utah is ranked #2 now but I think everyone, myself included think USC maybe the best team in the country. Who wouldnt love to watch Florida and USC battle it out with those defenses? That would be a battle.

Can you imagine if they had an and 1 going this year, what mess this would be right now. It would be talked about everywhere.

This is why you just play a stinkin tournamanet like every other sport and give us fans a reason to watch this stuff and settle this on the field.

The And 1 idea is almost as dumb as this BCS crap, where an undefeated team is left out and two teams with a loss are playing.

Give me the NFL every day of the week over this crap!!

Well certainly EVERYONE doesnt think that USC is better than Florida. I am not sure that USC is better than Texas.

But Florida's win over Oklahoma was more impressive than a victory over Penn State in my opinion. Not too many teams have shut down Oklahoma the way that Florida did.

My top 3 would be

1. Florida
2. Texas
3. USC

Think about it, Texas would have been undefeated going into the bowls except for the last second TD against Tech. If Crabtree gets stopped in bounds, then that game was over. And that was a tough Road game.

You could make an agrument for Utah, USC, and Texas to play in the AND 1 game this year. You're right it would just be a bigger mess. I think they should do a playoff with the Top 8 teams over 3-4 weeks in December/January. That would be a total of 7 games where each game could be played at a major bowl site. The money/ratings would prob be even higher than now.

and 1 wouldn't work, and neither would an 8 team tournament. there would always be someone who felt left out. i think with an 8 team tournament there would be less of a gripe because for the most part the teams around the 8 spot who feel they got snubbed wouldn't have been considered to have a legit shot at winning it all so the complaints would be minimal. 8 team tournament is the best option by default. the current BSC is a joke, and an embarrassment to cfb.

this year a 4 team post bowl tourney would work perfectly.

Florida
Utah

Texas
USC

Winners would meet for the Championship.....those are the only 4 teams that have a legitimate gripe for the NC.

BIG TEN AND PAC 12 get a champ game - each game is a 100 million $$ game TIX, TV, ETC ETC. let alone economic site impact. (have to add 2 teams to each conf. i know)

there is your six and then 2 at large, TY would be tough UTAH and Texas. Sorry osu no conf champ. maybe they would have won the mythical champ game, hence they were in too (prob big 10 east though oops)
