In that 3:14, I found not a single thing in which I could disagree with.

Minor nitpick: please embed the video rather than post a link

George Carlin, God rest his soul, was right on with this one (as he usually was).

Do some research to see who the largest lobbyists in Washington are and who receives the cash from the lobbyists and it will explain a lot.

You can see it in action now. The Dems who have long championed Universal Health Care and now are in the position to do it are seeing some dissention because one by one they are being bought off by Lobbyists.

This is why these people who cheerlead for one party over another just kill me. See 2:42 of the Carlin video.

The political party system in the U.S. is a joke. That's why I am a registered independent and tend to vote for those that are neither Dem nor GOP. There really is no difference between the two parties.

Bill Moyers show on PBS last night was great. He had a retired executive from the health insurance industry on.

Guy was very sharp. Did not pull any punches on how the industry goes after politicians from both parties that do not toe the line.

All those talking points such as "dont let a bureaucrat get between you and your doctor", all invented and promoted and passed out by the industry.

should be (dont let a CEO get between you and your health).

Death let me try to explain my position to you. I dont like most everything Republicans do. But their general platform has some areas i can grasp...

Democrats dont have a GD thing i agree with and i HATE their policies on just about every level....

So its not a matter of always siding with Reps its that i cant ever find a reason to side with a democrat....

If Carlin had any guts, he would have named names. But instead he to chose to use the safe and ambiguous "they" reference.

One other thing Carling totally misses. He talks about how "they" don't want a smart and educated populace. What he doesn't mention is how "they" also want to disarm the worker bees.

Carlin - God rest his cynical and funny as hell soul - most likely didn't know any names, thus the lack of disclosure you seek.

As for the notion that They want to disarm the public, it's too silly to give much run to, even for a professional comic.

Even if They wanted to disarm the public, it's impossible in the 21st century USA

although i disagreed with his politics, i enjoyed carlin's stage presence.

i have to disagree with the whole education thing. i was a poor student in high school -- something like a 1.8 gpa or some shit -- and yet i was still able to get a grant to got to a community college (which i quit after a year). after serving 8 years in the army, if i so desired i could now attend just about any school i wished. i don't know about individual states and ain't in the mood to research right now, but from what i've heard most folks can get a college education now. some folks are really smart and get scholarships -- some folks get scholarships for playing sports. maybe somebody really smart gets left out of harvard because their gpa was .117 less than the last person on the list. so they get a scholarship to go someplace less prestigious. there are some damn good professors out there who missed the dream job by the same margin. there are black college grants and native american grants and all that. but some think that to be successful they gotta go big time university -- so they take out huge loans. whatever. fact is, a college education ain't cheap but it's not the taxpayer's job to put every fucking kid through college. daddy always said he'd take care of me till i was 18....americans should be well educated so we can better compete. maybe more funding should be given to those who have proven track records in high school -- what is the college drop out rate for high school students who had gpa's of 2 or less? my main reason for college after high school was to avoid the whole "go to work concept". why spend a ton of money on 1,000 high schoolers that had gpa's of less than 2, and 70% of which didn't finish the first year? let's invest in those who have shown something. i'm tired of hearing the whole "can't put my kid through college" shit.

and yeah, politicians do care about what we think, but unfortunately it's only within a few months before the next election. most americans don't get involved with the process. every couple years the wife drags them to the ballot box, or they want to let their neighbor know they know what's going on, so they vote. other than election season, politicians are living the life. but for those couple months it's always entertaining to see them fuckers scramble....

To the right side of all YouTube videos there's a link that says EMBED

Copy that link

Paste it with whatever commentary you wish into the Quick Reply box

Upon occasion, some bigger name music acts have the embedding disabled, but that's unusual.

Keep in mind that the embed code will only work properly when pasted into the "Quick Reply" box or the box that appears when you click the "Edit" button on one of your posts.

It doesn't jive Barman. When Kid Rock brags, "I'll fuck you blind bitch," it's obvious he'd prefer to be embedded.
