The original title of this post was "CHEATING SPORTSBOOKS: Now it's __________ trying to stiff me. Intervention requested." But now it's not necessary...because of the power of the Prescription.
A book that I have an account with refused to honor my withdrawal request despite the fact that I complied fully with all of their bonus requirements (rollover and period of time account must be active). Their incredulous reason was because I didn't comply with an ADDITIONAL requirement which was A) not posted anywhere on their site; B) not told to me orally when I received the bonus and agreed to comply with the other requirments; and C) contradicted the requirements needed to be fulfilled in order to withdraw bonuses that was appended to my account, in WRITING, when the bonus was granted.
I spoke to a supervisor and a manager, shocked that they would be so audacious as to contradict what they themselves had both SAID and WRITTEN to me as a requirement for withdrawal, and threatened to post my story on the Prescription. The more shocking thing is that this is a book which which I have done tens of thousands of dollars of business with in about a month's time, and the whole disagreement was over a lousy $30! They were unmoved by my entreaties, and I began to write my story here on the RX.
Just as I was finished typing it up, not ten minutes after my initial conversation with the supervisor and manager, some higher-up called me on my cellphone. I told him I was about to post my story on the Prescription. He apologized for the conduct of his (presumed) underlings, acknowledged their mistake, and immediately agreed to process my withdrawal.
I'm not posting the Book's name here because this supervisor did right by me just in the nick of time. You can bet, however, that were it not for my flailing the name "Prescription" around, he wouldn't have been calling me within minutes, apologizing and overriding the angry machinations of the supervisor I had spoken to just before.
This place is great -- the sole resource to protect gamblers from conniving sportsbooks. Sometimes, as in this case, you don't even have to get involved...just bandying your name about is enough to get Sportsbooks to act straight. Gawd bless you all for keeping us gamblers safe.
