NOT

nobody is as good as they look on good days, nobody is as bad as they look on bad days either

this is an intense division rivalry, if the Jets ever play a good game it will be tonight

it's hard for me to lay 10 points

but it's also plausible that the Jets are so damn bad at QB this game gets ugly

I'm passing, I'm just here to point out that such division rivals don't fear each other, they know each other well and they tend to play games a lot closer than one might expect

GLTA on whatever youse decide

Completely agree. The weather forecast also a concern.
Heavy rain is a neutralizer and Pat's run game even more suspect w/o Ridley.

I'm staying away from a side myself.......may do a total.......gotta do more research.....but at the same time, don't want to force something just cuz it's TNF.

Mayo is the X factor. They played all of last year without him so that helps. But he is the leader of that defense and will be missed big time.

Losing Ridley will be a non factor. Just gives the other RB's more touches which isn't a bad thing at all.

The weather should be a factor. I think it will be the worst in the beginning of the game but it actually may lighten up as the game goes on.

We know one thing for sure. Sexy Rexy will bring everything at Brady to test that OL. Pressure is the name of the game when beating Brady.

It seems like things are clicking on Offense for the Pats right now so hard to go against that. Given the weather I like the under.

NYJ ML +375 sure is tempting though. This is the best chance they've had to win since Week 1.

It seems like every single year, the NFL schedules the Jets vs Pats on a Thursday, Sunday or Monday night game. And every year, the nation yawns.

It's an extremely boring matchup that I wouldn't give a second look at were it not the only game on the tube. The college games should be more entertaining today...as should the Giants closing out the Cards...

Not speaking as a Fan, because I have given up on the Jets and kicked them to the side.

But from a Gambling stand point, as much as the Jets need to play some kind of Ball, and being that it's the Pats... they will try their Best tonight which makes the +9.5/10 good.
The Pats should win the game either way... and they can well Blow the Jets out of the water. Because the Jets do SUCK ASS this year.

Normally I would pound the Pats if not for Mayo being out. That bothers me, .. not that the Pats defense can't man handle the poor jets offense... just mayo is the one that calls or changes up the plays on Defense......so I lean to grab the points and hope it's not a blow out. or I look at a Total play...

Game reminds me of MNF were vegas made me believe the sharp side was STL... Its gotta be PAT's or nothing but cant trust bradys ATS below. Jets are so bad and I swore that I would not bet them again this season.

Tom Brady is 20-29 ATS as a home favorite of -9 or more (10-22 ATS since November 2007)

Another sh*t game on TNF that I will pass.

Cant wait for NCAAB Willie!

Thanks for the insight, Betall................it doesnt take much to handle Geno and the Jets offense, lol. They have killed me every time I bet on them this year. GL2U.

I agree with the OP. Game is insanely tricky. I'm small on -9.5 pats but I'm not even going to wager a full unit on this game because the spread is a little high for this rivalry. If the patriots blew them out it wouldn't surprise me at all, but a close game wouldn't surprise me either. Basically, what I'm saying is I think the pats will win but I'm just not sure by how much and/or if they will cover the spread. I don't think either side is really +EV by that much. With that said, every time I bet the Jets I get absolutely burnt. Hard lesson to learn, so this game was either a no bet or a small pats lean for me. The line seems to be set pretty right for this game. GLA.

Nov 22/12 I thought the smart play was NYJ... 49-19 NE. Sanchez was just horrible. Agree, not worth touching as the can play close as seen L2 games. Can go either way, why take a guess.

A lot of the NFL has to do with energy - just think the Jets put so much into trying to save the season with a win over Denver - they got statistically dominated but managed to keep the score close and lost - just can't see that same effort on the road - the rain only favors Brady - it will have zero effect on him or NE's passing game - Geno, well that's a different story

Why would they put so much effort into a non div game when they have a div rival on deck? Makes no sense. If you can take out an opponent, which would you want to take out? One who's always kicking your butt? Or just a random opponent just to say you won a meaningless game? They may get their asses reamed tonight, but I assure you, you'll see every stone unturned for this game.

Might want to read this my friend:
Brady has compiled a 6-0 record as a starting quarterback on Thursday games since 2002, including a 2-0 mark against the Jets. His 1,700 passing yards on short weeks rank third in the AFC and his 13 touchdown passes are second in the conference during that span. Brady has also passed for at least two touchdowns in four of his six Thursday starts.

I would consider Denver the best team in the league and a major accomplishment if u could beat them - I understand the Pats would be another team they would love to get a win over - but they are basically going back to back in terms of needing to bring their very best just to not get run off the field - don't see them being able to do that - outside of recent games being close between these two teams I just can't see what the Jets bring to the table tonight - who knows - that's why they play the games
